5 Reel Drive Review
This slot has an 'American Graffiti' feel to the rather crisp
graphics. Two scenes from the film come to mind-the impromptu drag
races and the part where some of the more enterprising teens chain up
the under-carriage of the police cruiser and when the officer decides
to go after them; his vehicle is in several pieces and he's going
nowhere. There is even revving engine sound effects.
I think it should have an "in" in the title- as it's definitely a
drive-in/diner gestalt with french fries (5 pays 300 coins),
hamburgers (5 pays 600), soda (5 pays 120) and berry pie (5 pays
70)-oh and the there's coffee+doughnut (5 pays 50) snack, ostensibly,
the favorite of police officers everywhere. Many of these icons pay
out even if only 2 of them come up.
The highest payout is the chequered racing flag with a flaming wheel
next to it. Five of these wheels pays 10,000 coins; but 4 only pays
500 and the payout then goes down to 40 and 12; but along comes the
character with the truck pays that pays 1000 for five of him, the
cartoony guy with the car pays 900 for 5 of him and then there's the
pink chick with shades and her matching vehicle that pays 800 for
5. All of these icons pay if more than one of them makes an
appearance-here what really aids your ability to win are the "wild"
and "scatter" symbols!!!
The "wild" is a warning sign for a curving/winding road ahead. This
symbol subs for all others except the "scatter" icon which is the old
black and white police cruiser. Funny, one doesn't usually make money
when the police show up; though, in this case 3 cruisers is 5, 4 is 20
and 5 is 50. Scatter wins are multiplied by number of total credits
bet. There are really more ways to win in this slot than there are
ways to loose.
