A good weekend

Friday saw my ISP decide I didn't need internet access for 24 hours, so we did something else instead - yes Cille, we did that - which was great until Daisy decided to wake up at midnight until 3am. Not the best preparation for the Main Event. It got worse when I was up again at 5am with her, this time for good :(
Still I love that bit of the morning between 5 and 9, we do a lot of jigsaws, a bit of colouring, read some books together (the vids of her reading Ducks Day Out will be available soon, audio tape for retail at all good bookshops) and generally play.
I can't put my finger on it, but I had a bad feeling before the game itself, not quite, but along the lines of, "I'm not going to win this." Right up until we were three handed and I thought "I'm going to win this."
Then dodger hit his two outer and I was crippled. I was pleased after my autopsy because I only counted two minor mistakes all game, sorry Doc - I hit a two outer of my own.
The prize represents my biggest cash yet, so I can't grumble. And I cashed $500 to moneybookers straight away - nearly paid the laptop off in ten days, not bad going :D
Sunday brought a lucky victory at Old Trafford - BR over my older sister and her husband too :P - and MsMaxim's bounty game and a rare chance to represent TUK in the real BR.
A pity cakes idea of deep stacking a game is to shorten the blind structure, but nevertheless I did ok. Six bounties and $56 first prize, being a bit of a perfectionist I bemoaned the four other bounties I should have had, sorry can't help it :D
The BR as always was a lesson in waiting for a hand or a position. Thankfully kenny had both of those to match his stack, so we ended up HU. The last time kenny and I were HU was on the dearly missed old wasspoker site - he won that too.
'Tis bedtime now, but just musing something else reminded me of how lucky I am...not just at cards lol but generally.
Too easy to take it for granted, so I don't. Be grateful too readers...both of you pmsl

After another day with painting (been painting for about 2 months now...)I find myself thinking: What have I let myself into.... In about 2 weeks I am getting myself on the nightbus to Oslo (9hours drive), will arrive in Oslo about 6am then wait for a wee while and get on the bus to Torp (2hours drive). Then wait for another 3 hours get on the plaine to Liverpool. And hopfully Blueorchid will be at Liverpool airport to drive me to Leeds where Andy and Gary will drive me to Newcastle.... I will stay untill Friday at Sue and Gary's home, then yet again into the car and drive down to Stoke to meet the rest of the wass gang for a live tourney. Then on Sunday find a B&B to stay at untill Monday when I get on the plaine back home to Torp, then Oslo then Ålesund.... And all this just to meet some wassers..... I must be crazy....lmao
I wonder if anyone actually get how long I need to travell to meet my fellow wassers....... hmmm is it wurth it?????????????????????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm have to think a wee about that one..................................... answer: OHH YES... I am like a 5 year old here: part of me is scared shitless for yet again travelling alone and the other part is saying: You are an old lady you can do this........ I got some wassers on my mobilephone so if anyone get a slitly hysterical Cille on the phone, she might yet again have landed on the wrong airport... So be nice to me if I phone ROFLMAO

Well my BOSS has nagged me for a while to make a blog... Fist off I have no clue what a Blog is or why I should do one :).... After the new (very nice) forum where launched I have had to use all my time just to understand it...slowly getting the hang of it... and then the BOSS starts nagging me for this blog thingy again.... I have now done it... So what do I do now???? Wait for a big price of some sort or????? ROFLMAO
PS love the new forum, but for an old lady like me it takes some getting used to ;-)

And so it came to pass, that in the eighth month it was decided that they should travel to Skegness. David was heavy with cheesecake and cookie dough ice cream and they could not find anywhere to stay. A kindly campsite owner offered them an apartment, for a very reasonable rate, but they had to share with the Butlins donkeys.
Fortunately Noah was also staying there because the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were due to arrive on Saturday, bringing with them forty days and nights of rain, all on Saturday.
I'm guessing there won't be much begatting...

Eugh, projects!
Spent most of today trying to tie various service objectives, national performance framework indicators, norfolk business profiles and service drivers into why we do what we do. And then timetables had to be arranged so some fancy Gantt chart can be produced. Only for it all to be pulled to shreds before Tuesday, so it can be re-written then.
Still, justifying what you do does help to remind you why the job exists. It's just a pity the political climate affects what we do, as opposed to we use our experience and do what we need to do.
And then I get home to a "discussion" over what the kids can have for Christmas - I need to win some more money lol
