site, WassOnline This is the first in a batch of rematches from the Week 17 NFL season. Green Bay absolutely destroyed Arizona last week. Arizona sits atop the NFC western division, which is horrendous beyond belief. The Cards have been great on the road this year, and have stunk the joint up at home all year. This is a home game for the Cards and it doesn’t bode well for them. Not only that, but Green Bay has come on very strong in the last 6 weeks with a dominating defense, and a very upbeat offense. Aaron Rodgers has proven to be a worthy replacement for Green Bay legend Brett Favre. The momentum advantage goes to Green Bay, but the experience goes to Arizona. This game won’t be a blow out like last week, but I’m taking the Packers by 7 in this one.
One thing is for sure, prior to this season NO ONE wanted to face the Ravens defense in the post season. The Baltimore defense is good, but they have definitely softened up after the departure of Rex Ryan. Don’t get me wrong, they are still tough as nails, but they have to face Tom Brady this week…at home…..where New England have yet to lose this year. Wes Welker is out for the Pats this week, which is not good new for the Pats, but nothing Tom Brady and Randy Moss can’t cover for, and now that I mention it, Julian Edelman did a great job filling in for Welker this year. The bottom line in this game is that I have more faith in Brady than I do in Flacco…..I take the Pats by 3.
Philadelphia at Dallas
Two big things happened last week. First off, the Boys won the division. Secondly, they won in a shutout. I could sit here and analyze this game, but I’m not going to, cause I LOVE my Dallas Cowboys. Philly are good, and I can’t see them bending over like last week, but Dallas wins by 10.
New York Jets at Cincinnati
I love the fact that Rex Ryan played Sanchez as a rookie. I love the fact that the Jets actually made it to the playoffs, especially since the Giants didn’t. These are 2 teams I don’t like watching, mainly because they are “run first” teams. I believe that Cinci is the better team here simply because Carson Palmer is consistent, which Mark Sanchez is not yet. Either way, I see this as a defensive battle. Both teams have a great secondary, and a great scheme upfront, which makes the running backs the target in this game. Cedric
Benson is back for Cinci, and he has been dominant this year, so the Jets will focus on slowing him down, which is going to set up some “play action” situations, but darrel reeves will shut Ochocinco down, and Sanchez will be unable to convert on play action opportunities either. This will be an ugly slugfest, and the Bengals will come out on top by 3.
