New York Jets at Indianapolis (AFC Championship)

After looking at my picks from last week, I’m not sure I deserve the right to even pick games.
I’m utterly astonished that the Jets have made it this far. It just goes to show that grinding on the ground, and playing rabid defense actually works.

My main problem is that in the year 2010, I just don’t see how an old school game plan can actually work against teams that can rip teams secondary to shreds.
In a sense, I’m rooting for the Jets as the dark horse, but when I start thinking about it, I really think it will be bad for them.
If Sanchez and Ryan, both in rookie seasons either make the Super Bowl or win the Super Bowl, what ambition does that leave them for the future?

Either way, they are playing the Colts this week, whose defense will not allow the Jets to run wild, and even though Darelle Revis may shut down his man, Manning will still shred these guys.
I’m going with the colts on this one. Peyton Manning is just too hard to handle.

Minnesota at New Orleans (NFC Championship)

Last week the Vikings defense was absolutely punishing!!!!
I have never in my entire life of watching football seen such dominance of the line of scrimmage. They shut down the number 2 ranked offense in the NFL.
The question is will they be able to dominate the #1 offense in the NFL?

This game is a real toss up for me, because both of these teams have had Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde phases this year. If they come out as the great teams they appear to be most of the time, this game will be absolutely fantastic!
It would be great to see Favre get a Super Bowl after coming back from retirement, but I love this Saints team, besides when they are playing the Cowboys.
I’m not going to pick this one. I will just wait to see how this game goes.

I really believe it will be a doozy! Go Cowboys!!!
