Hello!
My name is Cindy and I have been writing new stories for the last 4 years. I originally got into printed journalism while I was a housewife where I used to be one of a selection of people who reviewed the news from unique perspectives (mine being a full time mum). After a few years of writing and once my second son was old enough to be attending nursery I applied for a job writing content online.
I was originally part of a large company of work at home
employees who were given stories and deadlines and I enjoyed the balance I had between
a work and home life, as I grew older I decided to expand into freelance
writing. With my children a little older now (12 and 15) I have more time to
manage my projects, one of which is researching and writing articles for
WassOnline!
Emotion at the Poker Table Even though luck has an important role to play in poker, the importance of money, body language, mathematics, theory and right bets cannot be ignored. However, there are many poker players who are not aware of these factors and according to them fortune is the sole basis for winning a poker game. This mindset results with extreme emotions results in tension, in one way or the other.
It is easy to know more about the factors that are responsible for causing such poker ‘heat’. The first factor is money. Players, who are greedy and inclined towards the amount and not the game, lose their money because big stakes are thrilling for them and in order to win the amount they don’t stop playing. The excitement and thrill for money invokes several emotions inside them. Some players are stable, while some are unstable and they do not know how to keep their emotions in control. They find it too difficult and this can be ‘trouble-shooting’ at times. There are several ways through which emotions can surface in a poker game. It can be via comments that are made unnecessarily at a poker table in a casino, which is not helpful for the player and just results in noise or body language that only be noticed by experienced players. In online casinos, players may display an array of positive or negative emotions through the form of cards they play.
The ability of a poker player to win a game can be downgraded to a great extent with emotions. This is the reason why it is essential to control them, so that good results can be achieved. If you get upset because you lost a game or you become too happy on winning a session, then it means that you are not a good player. Always remember that to win in poker is the same as to lose because in case you lost a game once, you have chances of winning the next session. Make sure that your emotions are in control in every situation, be it in a casino or online. Confidence and a positive mindset will help you to become strong. Only when you think positive about winning another game even if you lost the previous one, you can become a winner.
Even though you are confident sometimes you might not find it easy to control your emotions. In such cases it is recommended to leave the game and get engaged in some other work. This will help you to get onto the right track and you will be able to think clearly. Every poker player must remember that this is only a game and losing it doesn’t mean the end of this world. They should have optimism and the ability to understand that a break is needed when they are not sure about their cards. It will help them in avoiding mistakes and huge losses. So, the next time you play poker in a casino or online, make sure that you are not tense and your emotions are in control. This might not always be easy to do, but the sooner you do it, the better results will be.
