Hi, my name is Phil and I’m from
I’m currently studying politics and social studies at college. I am a huge poker fan and I play in organised (friend no betting ;) ) tournaments with other students as well as playing online. I have always loved card games and poker is one of the most fun ones out there, it has been repeatedly described as the “all American past time” and I think this is defiantly true from the people I know.
I am hoping to eventually get far enough into politics to try and help peoples understanding of the game and hopefully disband some of the over the top gambling/sin related stigma that a percentage of American political groups associate with the game.

There is no doubt about it that with only two aces in a player’s hand, he or she can get ready for moving in all the chips in the face of a good development in the game. But the main problem with double aces is that it’s a hand with the help of which you can either lose a big pot or win a small one. Double ace is a hand that has less chances of improvement after a flop and even if it happens, it will be obvious, avoiding other players to take any action.
In case of the seven-card stud game, rolled up aces is the best starting hand, which means that one card face up and there are two aces in two hold cards. There are many players who think that this starting hand is relatively much better than the pocket aces because if two aces are good then three aces should be better. They are right in one way but there is a lot more to it than appears. Rolled up aces, in a hurry can become a top full house that is well hidden. There are four more cards coming and in case of any pairing, you will get a hand that is not beatable.
Omaha poker is four-card Hold’em. Players might feel that two aces in Hold’em is good, three in seven card stud is better then four aces in Omaha must be the best, but this is not the case at all. In fact, if a player gets all four aces in Omaha poker the best play would be throwing the hand away. This is because in Omaha players are allowed to use two cards in their hand with three cards on board. So even if there are four aces in a player’s hand, it will mean you only have two aces and since the other two cards are in hand, there are no chances of improving the hand. There are some worst hands as well in poker games. For instance in Texas Hold’em poker, 2-7 also known as hammer, is the worst hand a player can have. This hand cannot make a straight for one and even if it forms a ‘flush’ and other players also do, then there are chances that yours will not be the higher hand. 2-6 is also considered to be a bad hand in this game because like 2-7 this also makes low flush. But it can form a straight as well unlike 2-7, but this will also be weak. For more information on the worst and best starting hands in poker you can visit our poker hands section.
