Blind bets are forced bets placed in a pot by a single or more players, before the starting of any deal. This should be placed in a way that the bets made during the game are simulated. As a betting structure, blind’s are called for:
 
•    Half of a somewhat normal bet would be blinded by, by the player after the dealer.
•    What the whole bet will be blinded by, by the next player.
 
Usually one, two or three blinds are used. In case of three blinds, first blind is paid by the dealer and it goes “on the button”. Big blind is the larger of the two forced bets and usually, it is equal to the minimum opening bet. Blinds exist because Texas Hold’em and Omaha poker games are played without antes, frequently. This allows a player to fold his hand without having to place a bet. A regular cost is introduced by the blind bets for taking part in the game. This in turn induces players to indulge in the pot so that the expense can be compensated. The big blind is generally equal to the minimum bet, but twice as big as the small blind. Big blinds are posted by players to the left side of the player with the small blind. Once the cards are dealt, the player present to the left side of the big blind is the first to act during the first round of betting. Issues related to the big and small blinds are more important in ‘Limit’ poker games and not ‘No Limit’ games. Blind bets are of great importance, no matter what is the structure of the game. You should consider it when you make it or when someone else makes one.
 
In Texas Hold’em poker game:
 
Before the poker cards are dealt to the players and before bets take start taking place, the first two players who are present on the left of the button, post blinds. It is referred to as blinds because these are bets that need to be made in preset amount, by the two players to the left of the button before any cards are given to them. The player who is directly to the button’s left, posts a small blind. Big blind is then posted by the player directly to his left. The name of the Texas Hold’em poker game being played would determine the size of the blind. The big blind is a full small bet. So the big blind would be 2 dollars and small blind 1 dollar.
 
In Omaha poker:
 
In order to start Omaha poker game, two blind bets are posted. Similar to Texas Hold’em, a small blind is posted by the person who is present to the left of the dealer. Half the minimum bet is the small blind. So 1 dollar would be a small blind for the 2/4 dollar game. Big blind is then posted by the person who is present to the immediate left of the small blind and it will be equal to minimum bet or 3 dollars for this game. No amount after this is put up after for starting the hand, by other players. With the rotation of the button around the poker table, dealer, small blind and big blind will be enacted by each player.
