if the above is true then i think your first mistake was too small a reraise ....... true your opening bet was 4.5 bb but he had already posted 100 so it was only 3.5 to him
next comes the flop [ 6c, qd, tc ] ...... now stop looking at it from your AA point of view and look at it from his ....... he thinks it not a bad flop for him hes got a nut flush draw with 2 cards to come .....and an ace as an over card to a queen....
i think your next call should have been an all in ........ but no you raise just the pot .... was that calculated on your part or was there a pot button ........ i addmit if you had gone all in at this point i think it would be 50 50 that he call ..... could be down to your table immage
well you raised 1050 post flop .....now look again from his point .... there is now 2100 in the pot and hes being asked to but 1050 in for this ...... hes safe in the knowledge that you cant put him out as you only have 1400 chips left ..... look at how he sees it ....
hes got to put you on a basket of hands .....

AA 64% v 36%
AQ 63% v 37%
KQ 55% v 45%
QJ 55% v 45%
Q10 67% v 33%
JK 30% v 70%
JJ 53% v 44%
a club flush draw,,,, 21% v 79%

most of them your ahead but not by that much .... and some hes well ahead

so i dont think he was an idiot to call.... yes he got lucky but i think you let him in .... its sad when aa gets beat but its just a starting hand not a winning ticket

just my thoughts

andy
In an earlier hand he had called to the river with a draw against my overpair and in other hands against other players he was calling a lot and only betting/raising when he had hit
We were down to about the last 15 in this tourney with top 5 getting paid
With it being such a draw heavy flop i figured if he was calling with a draw i could get away from it if the scare card came on the turn
On reflection
Maybe all in on the flop woulda been the better play but from his previous play (i want him to pay to chase) and his stack i dont think he would've folded and with him calling rather than coming over the top i knew i was in front
I think i just didnt have enough behind me to take him off the turn.
from his point of view after the turn hes looking at 12 outs at best and 4 of them could be dead so it was imo a marginal call on his part which got lucky
