The bad judgement award has to go to swimmer Michael Phelps for his bong episode that made the papers. Athletes like Charles Barkley have long claimed they are not role models. But athletes are in the public eye and do get endorsement deals because of thier status. They lose endorsement deals when they make faux pas or end up on police blotters. No one probably knew about Michael Phelps drunk driving arrest when he was nineteen until the bong episode. Who amongst us dosent or hasn't smoke pot but when we do it , it dosen't wind up in the press. He has already lost an endorsement worth millions from Kellogs cereal and its a shame because he really deserved it for his great accomplishments and endless work he put in the pool.
