UPDATED BRL RULES AS OF JULY 2009
Hi guys we have rewritten a couple of the rules to try make a couple of points abit clearer.
Ammendments are in red below so please take a minute to read through them.
Rules and Structure for "Braggin Rights League"
1/ Eight members per team will be eligible to play each game, subs and other members will be unable to play in the game. You must make Trish aware of any subs you use in the game for them to be eligible to play, Just listing them as a sub does not count. Only top five finishes per game count for team points
Total number of players plus one...from this number deduct finishing position of individual will give you single players score..add the top five highest scores of team members gives you team score...rank these in order of greatness will give you team finishing positions and therefore points. if a player is sat out then they are ignored and the next one down is counted in their position.
2/ Teams top five finishers points = team finishing position will be converted to league points as follows....
1st 40
2nd 35
3rd 30
4th 26
5th 23
6th 20
7th 18
8th 16
9th 14
10th 12
11th 10
12th 9
13th 8
14th 7
15th 6
16th 5
17th 4
18th 3
19th 2
20th 1
3/ You must submit your whole squad at the beginning of each month. if your team is below 10 then you may add new members but not returning ones every fortnight. A maximum of 15 members is allowed in your squad, if you wish to have more then the suggestion is you make another team up. If your squad is not sent to Tricks27 on the Friday before each new month then you will not be able to play in that month
4/ Team members must maintain active status for the duration of the league, failure to keep active will result in your loss of points for your team. By active this means you must post at least 2 posts per month (outside of BRL threads) and have posted at least once in the previous month if you are joining a team. you may add a member to your team who does not have active status but they cannot play until that goal is reached , which is 50 qualifying quality posts, not to include spam,and admin have assessed their situation. If they are live event players then they need only to have posted in the month previous
If a member is found not to be active but they do play then they will be banned from playing for that month
5/ There will be NO berating of players on the table. You WILL be infracted and receive a suspension of 2 games. Keep it clean. Friendly Banter encouraged. If there is a problem, please take a screenshot or copy the chat and we will deal with it. If we dont get a screenshot to back it up there is very little we can do about it.
6/ "Final Table Bonus Points", each final table finisher will receive bonus Team points on a sliding scale 10 - 1 .... 1st = 10 points, 10th = 1 point, these points will be added to the collective team points for that days game. This will put an extra 55 points into the mix and we should see a bit more league position movement.
7/ All team captains need to send me their provisional list of team entries to the tournament no later than 1 hour before the game starts, but then have until the game starts to make any changes to the team you have already sent to me. If however you do not send me your provisional team list 1 hour before then the team will stand from the last game that was played. Please also make sure to post your team and any changes you make in the 'post your team lists here' thread.This is being ignored but i am now implementing it like we used to do, so please take note
8/ Team captains please remember, team alterations are only implemented via PM to tricks27, alterations to team details listed in Team Threads will not mean automatic update of this Team List. please also use the team list thread to post your team and any alterations. If you do not send me the list 1 hour before the start time the whole team will be ignored and therefore no points for any members
9/ SITOUTS. If a player is found to be sitting out after 20 minutes then their points will automatically be void and players move up positions accordingly for points. Disconnections will still be counted as sit outs. if you have a player that has been sat out for 20 minutes they are to continue sitting out and not play, to either dump chips or take out other players. if after they have been told to sit out because they are late and their points wont count, but continue to play then they will be suspended from the game for 2 games and the team will have 10 points deducted off their final score for the day so it is up to you to inform your members of this new update to the rule
10/ If too many members from a team are registered to play then half of the collective points for that team will be deducted before bonus points are added. That player will also be suspended from play for 2 games.
11/ Teams are to EITHER use their team avatar or when asked what their team is then reply accordingly.
12/ COLLUDING. If you are caught colluding with another team to try to stop another team from winning etc then the matter will be discussed with both teams and the team concerned and it may result in disqualification for the month, or if it is at the end of the month then disqualified for the following month.
13/ the only time the game will be cancelled if the forum is shut down and does not come back up by 20 mins before the start. All captains and co captains should have the passwords for the month and should also have other ways of contacting their members if the site is down, failure to do so is your fault, the game will go ahead.
14/ The biggest rule is too have fun. These games are all about fun so what happens at the tables stays at the tables we don't want to see any arguments spilling over to the forum because someone 'donked you' or played bad. Remember its only a game.

Edit... I think i should add anything to do with eligibility to play will not take effect until Augusts BRL.
