How did I know I would come back to a WELSHGIT post? Doh!
To you and everyone reading this:
Until I have individual meetings with all the Admins and Mods and a few members I know well... nothing changes here. Nothing. As for this screen name it will probably change but as fate would have it - my laptop in Vegas decided I should lose some email so I don't have access to my other new account at this time.
Please know that what works here will stay and we'll try to make it even better or just leave it be. What doesn't work will be fixed, changed or eliminated. As for posting for passwords - again - nothing changes.
I want everyone reading this to know that Wass Online stands alone and the calendar will not change. Is Wass Online part of GFN? Yes and no. Yes, in the sense that members are welcome to join the GFN freerolls and money-added tournaments which will be posted and added to your calendar and we'll be posting bigger and better offers for poker and casino. No, in the sense that your calendar will not merge with GFN's and we won't be brining in new Admins/Mods with the exception of one person who will be assisting me to make sure that the current Admins/Mods get what they need and you get what you need. She will also be posting the offers, deals and GFN games. I'll make a formal announcement about that soon.
You all have my word that we'll take things slow, steady and will do things right. Those things that need immediate attention will get it and...
As for my WSOP bracelet I wasn't able to play a WSOP event this year due to exhaustion. Plopping down $1500 in cash when you know you can't play your best game is not an option for me. I'm hoping that this time next year a lot of you will join us in Vegas and turn our 60-player live tournament in to 100 or more. We'll be at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in the Hard Rock Poker Lounge. Want to see a beautiful poker room?
Las Vegas Poker Lounge | Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Picture it. Food, Twitter and iPod stations, poker with old and new friends and then a party in a suite that follows immediately after.
I do have the "ultimate" bad beat Las Vegas story (as you knew I would):
Ultimate Bet 10 Year Anniversary Party at Studio 54. Phil Hellmuth gave away a $8500 Aruba package to ticket number 1331 - I was 1332. Owner of Zappos won. PFFFFFFFFFT!
