Default Law change

Do you guys think they will change that bill that says U.S. players can't play, this year? Because I see there are alot of poker sites we can't play on. Which is very unfair.

We have a similar problem in Australia, we can play on overseas sites but not on Aussie sites. Its a bit strange and yes its disapointing not being able to support local sites but thats the way it is here. I don't think there are any plans to change it.

Unhappy It will change Soon I think

It isn't illegal to play poker online, Just certain things are illegal like underage gambling also illegal for banks to transfer money on a gambling site because of the Safe port act in America.
They think the Al Queda are gonna use gambling sites to filter funding to america in order for them to commit acts of terrorism.
For all its worth a lot of poker sites will probubly re-open to leagal patrions from the US or Australlia if they see how the law affects only third party payment providers ect.
I think the real reason is because they can't tax the industry like they tax everything else.
The Bill is a Crock.

Its much harder to play, but not totally impossible. Also there are some pretty good free or membership sites if you want to get your fix

I read somewhere that the US supreme courts declared that texas holdem was a game of skill and not luck. I believe this is the first step. They are probably figureing a way to get there tax money off it. The Big Casino Fat Cats want online gambling to be illegal so we have to go there casinos to play.I dont see the law changeing til the Bush leaves office

Seems ironic that the federal governement prohibits transferring money from US financial institutions to online gaming sites but yet the federal government had a hands off attitude to the financial institutions that lended sub prime mortgages causing so many to lose their homes to foreclosure.

Default there is a lot of sites we can

There is a lot of sites that we can play, what I find totally stupid is that there is some states in the US that cant play while other states allow it....it should be a clean cut yes or no for all

Its a bunch of horse dung
