Favorite Gambling Movies???
OK, if you really enjoy gambling, then you have to have a favorite movie. My personal favorites are The Gambler and The Cincinnati Kid. Kind of old but I think they're great. What are some of yours?

Agree with you both on Rounders. Great quote by the way. But even the ones mentioned in the first post are older movies. Nothing has come out recently that is any good, unless anyone knows of any that I have missed. Anyone know of anything possibly coming out soon???

Yeah, Rounders is great. I also really like this movie I watched online recently, called Poolhall Junkies .. here is a link if you want to watch (unfortunately the site is having probs at the moment),: Ninjavideo.net - Poolhall Junkies (2002) - Phara
make sure you click on video helper first and let it load b4 you can watch the movie.
I also recently watched The Grand and didn't like it at all - it is like a mockumentary of a big poker tourney. I want to watch No Limit which is real documentary but I can't find the whole thing anywhere (and I am too cheap to buy it, lol) .. here is a youtube clip:
so, some1 let me know if you know where I can watch it, please.

There is in fact a movie coming out about Ted Binion! It's called Sex & Lies In Sin City. Weirdly enough, it's being aired on Lifetime, but it looks like it's going to be good. Check out this link if you want to know more

huckleberry
The one whose name is Huckleberry he goes on to meet his dad at final table in wsop was only other descent movie other then Rounders of course. I think Drew Barrymore was in it also. I can't remember the name of the movie for the life of me though. Then there was the one about the girl who learned to play poker at a young age by her father who dies in a car accident but then meets her also at the finals of a tourney don't think it was wsop but this on was totally lame.

Hey, that movie was called "Lucky You" and it does have Drew Barrymore, yep it was OK- kind of a "date night" poker movie, not great though.. That's funny because it reminds me that there's even another movie with an estranged father that meets up with their kid on the final table, actually maybe it wasn't his dad, more like his mentor (like Paul Newman & Tom Cruise in Color of Money) -- the one with Burt Reynolds - it totally sucks! (it is called Deal) - I have not heard of the one with the girl and the dead father though, that's sounds interesting, I'll have to look for that one. Who is in it?
