Home games with friends(DONKS)

ok home games and how to counter the donks,.........???

We normally have 1 or 2 games a week either cash or 8,10 person

sitngo, mostly same people each time, and ive managed to read whos

the fish and whos tight,but still cant counter the fact that they keep

calling every hand ............... there not affraid to bluff when need

be but there too stupid too fold too lmao.................


Ive tryed different strats againest them but they prob work for 1 week

then they all change it up ,.........


any1 have suggestions ??? buyin $50nz unlimited for cash games

and 1 rebuy for sitngos????????

Never bluff a callinstation

I think what could work is a little bit work on pot control. Try to keep the pot small with your marginal hands and make it big when you are sure you are in front.

Limp in with suited connectors/small pairs and try to flop a monster and let them pay you out.

Try to seperate your targets if possible.

Is that the same for if where changing up the game like from holdem to

omaha and 5card??.........

Alot of chips seem to change hands when playing omaha and 5card as

the fish com out to play

Omaha high only or Omaha High/low?

Omaha could be very lucrative if you are up against normal Holdem players which dont understand the power of the 4 cards. But it could also give you very hard bad beats when they are chasing and hitting with marginal odds.
I would sugest to play Omaha also very tight and only draw to nut-Hands. It could be very frustrating if they hit their five high flush on the river and beat you top set.

For Fraw Poker I recommend the first Book from Doyle Brunsons Super System. There is a section about Draw Poker from Mike Caro and its mostly about Live Play. The only catch is that he explains concepts for Draw Poker with Joker. They removed this section in Super System II.

Omaha high....... they've all played abit of 5card b4 but were fairly

newbies to omaha but caught on quick...

Main problem to is that they all know im online nearly every day and

dont wanna bet out or call any raises when im in the hand thinkin i

must be a poker god and hav the nuts when i stay in or bet

omaha is a different type of game, i like high a little better .so dont really that at home

I know your problem, when I play with my friends who're not used to poker I find myself in trouble because i have to change my game style a lot..it's true, they call every single hand and never raise preflop, so you never know what you're going to face
Playing tight against calling machines should be the best way anyway, just bet when u got the nuts...

Home games, all what I can say is beware. To keep peace I have returned cash won. Every one thinks they are the best and just like on line poker sites you have to practice money management.

Ending a night early can lead to problems! Also to much booze can bugger things up. You also find out how sore of loser a person can be.

I want to enjoy my life and lose friends so the money get returned allot of the time.
