Preflop? I dont think u should ever fold aces preflop and I believe in being extremely aggressive with them because u dont want someone to outflop u! U should always move with the best hand and AA preflop is always the best hand.

No. I would never fold AA in preflop. David Sklansky wrote about folding AA in preflop but I do not agree with him.

At a Final table, or in STT and three or four are all-in before you, why not...
Or in a satellite Tourney which, say pays 10 tickets, we are Chip leader by a mile and there are 13 left and two of the short-stacks are All-in before us...
Why not?

AA is a pair, not a made hand, and is by no means invincible. there is no reason why it should NOT be folded if conditions dictate. Heads-up it is about 80/20 a winner, but with more random hands in the pot those odds swiftly diminish.............

Against a full table of random hands, you are about 32% a winner......

Against two others, with good holdings (AKs, 10 10) you are about 70%

Against (K K, QQ and JJ) you are only just above evens............

Against KQs JTs and 55 you are 51%

You should never fold Pocket Rockets on the Pre-Flop. The only time I think you Could is if you had a major Chip advantage and are playing for Higher Placement on the final table.
For instance if you are gonna make $300 dollars for fifth place and $475 dollars for fourth and you don't wanna risk losing the extra $175 fold them to major action in front of you.
Sometimes other players will do the dirty deed of eleminating players for you;however, I believe Folding pocket Aces pre-flop is never a good move cuz you know at that point you have to be at least 4or5-1
favorite to any pair 85% is about the best pre-flop odds you can ask for. Thats my opinion.
Only if you don't nessisarly need to win that paticular pot does it make any sense to fold the best starting hand in Texas Holdem

A mix of what has been said: you ONLY fold AA preflop if ALL of the following conditions are met:

1. lots of action before you, 3+ people going all in
2. you are on the bubble, and it is really important for you to make it to the money (for example, money is $300. not applicable when the money is $0.40)
3. You are shortstack, and calling the allins will put you all in too, or very close.

If one of those points is not met, then push all in with AA, preflop

I wouldn't say it matters if 3 or 4 players are still acting behind you... I mean, which better hands can they have?

I would only fold pocket aces if I had a good chipstack, I were a few people from a good money (say $100 or so, not 50 cents hehe) and 2 or more people went all-in. Also, if calling would compromise a good proportion of my chipstack. If ANY of these conditions were not satisfied, I would raise/allin with AA, no doubts about it.

Default i agrre with elbandido

it is very true to be very aggresive with them for the simple fact that if u slow play them u might just get hit hard. i expect to take my AA hu at every opputunity possible. i hate when 3 or more people are in the hand with aces cause it never seems to fail as they get cracked 90% time.

This is a great answer to the question. There are always times when a good starting hand, even the best one, should be folded and Wakou222 is right on the money describing some of those times. Keep up the good work Wakou222!
