Went to a local casino today and was playing at a $2-$4 no limit holdem table. I started out with $100 and quickly turned that into $12. I get pocket 4's in the big blind. One player raises to $12 and another calls so I put in my last $8. Flop comes 4 4 K. 1st player checks and 2nd player raises the pot and the 1st guy calls. Turn is an A. The other two players go all in. They show pocket A's and pocket K's. Turn is a 5 so I win a whopping $36 with my quad 4's. The guy with the A's wins over $100 from the guy with K's. Oh yeah, it took me about 15 minutes to lose the $36.

Lol thats poker huh... and I guess why we play it.. never can be sure what is going to happen.

RIceman u turned 100 into 12? did u lose alot fast? Anyway i was thinking maybe that should be a ten but at 2 and 4 dollar blinds,maybe it was 100. well it happens but i bet u wish u had that 100 to bet with the quads huh.

allways the same eh.....you lose most of your stack and then hit a monster when you have peanuts left to bet with

Yes I did lose pretty quickly. The $2 - $4 table at the local casino are very agressive. I had a two other pocket pair hands, 10's and J's that had prefolp raises that I called and both times two higher cards flopped and I folded to all in raises.

i cant find a casino that has 2-4 where i live. I would love to be able to though. I usually play 3-6 limit.

That is sad! How come the monster hands only show up when we're short stacked? Better luck next time.
