Default Live poker situations

Here's one I witnessed recently at a local pub game.

Two players in the pot , one goes all in and the other grudgingly folds after much smack talk.

The winner mucks his cards but the folding player reaches over and takes a look at them to see what he had. Regardless to say all hell lets loose.

I was wondering if this has happened at an organised event and if so what was the outcome ..... other than a smack in the teeth

well from my experience at the live events....the banter at the tables was like online and players tended to show their hand anyway...if it was mucked noone touched it...

I wasnt meaning had it happened at Wass events , I would assume that all those attending would be more mature and knowledgable

I was wondering if there was a set of rules for this sort of thing for live events.

This happened to me at a live game. I play NL tournies at a local casino at least once a week, and they have a big monthly tourney. A couple months ago near the bubble in this tourney, I had just bluffed out an insulting smack talking player, with a draw hand. He folded, and as I mucked the cards, he reached for them and flipped them over. They showed suited 10 J and that I had not hit the flop at all, lol. He called me several names, and the other players sounded off, but to him, not me.

I asked the dealer for a penalty and he called over the tournament manager. The bad guy got a 30 minute time out and a warning of a ban if he did it again. He then called the tourney manager a few names, and got escorted out, and banned. Even though he blinded out, he did make the bubble, so I asked the Manager what would happen to his prize share. He laughed and said, we added it back in to the pool.

I would say several hundred, I will be going to three in December alone.

WWE may cut him any minute, he is a mid-carder and the WWE is not going to push him but so much.

Its hard to say, poker is full of smacks in the face and hearts being broken.

That's why its a good idea to always rail even if you are not active on the tables to watch the ups and downs and know what to expect when you do decide to play.
