I dont think its the best hand you can get, i think its AK, because you have the highest 2 cards and can get the highest things with it.. if you have AA , you almost need always another A to win it. because the other one has straight,.,. flush,... 2 pairs... its almost always better..

I dont know, I think that you are not right because you cant even get Ace or King on board when you have AK, but if u do have AA , u have already pair. Sometimes are pocket pairs just better than any other combinations, even the deuces can beat big slick

this has been a question for the ages. i dont think there will ever be a definite answer. but man do they look good staring back at you. its tempting to go all-in thinking you have THE best possible hand.
but how often do pairs show up on the flop that make those gems look like their standing on tooth picks, about ready to snap. then you back off thinking, someone has trips and these arent so great after all. how many times? how many? one just has to go with the action of other players to get a feel of a stronger hand. i believe that rockets are as good as the player holding them.

Easiest way to answer this question...

You and an opponent are playing, one of you gets to be dealt AA, the other has to take AK, which do you want now?

The other way, the way I put my stake in, no other hand has better odds pre-flop.

Now to debunk some mythology...

Aces seem to get cracked more often because you only get them about 1 in 150 hands, leading to their being misplayed. Not only that, but with rarity comes a confused memory, because the few times they get cracked are all the more impactful, on your chipstack as well as your psyche.

You'll catch big slick (suited or not) about 1 in every 70 hands (not to mention AQ, AJ, AT, which allot of players mistakenly play like big slick and thus assimilate the hands). If players' really remembered exactly how often their big slicks actually won a hand, they'd definitely take the AA's every time.

Of course AA is the best hand Preflop. i mean any hand can beat it with the right Flop-Turn-River. but to say u rather want AK then i dont get you at all.

AK is a draw and you need to get it made if u gonna have any chance of winning. AA is a strong allready-made hand from the start.

AA vs 2-3 opponents: ofc someone gonna hit big against ur aces once in a while.

AA vs 1 person: u cant find a better spot to get ur money in preflop, even if u dont, play the hand very strong.

Here's a better question...

What hand do you want to take up against pocket aces (or should you fear while holding pocket aces)? Heads-up or with multiple players, either way.

Here's a hint, throw big slick out right away, even if it's suited.

of course we all like those pocket AA's and would like to have them every hand, but wouldn't that be boring? lol. in all, how many do you actually get in a good size tournament? 3? 4? times. i think im going to count and keep track of those percentages. wins losses. it would be curious to find out.
