Advice Please
Advice time please
I was just at a 10\25c NL table and got KK in mid position. I raise to $2.25 and got 2 callers. A54 rainbow on flop. Guy bets out a dollar other guys calls so I call. 4 on turn all of us check. 6 on river and guy raises allin with almost 10 bucks so I fold and I say " KK sucks, always an A when I have KK lol"
A guy then says I suck and I am a donkey who overbet to start with.
When I bet 4xBB or 5xBB I always get sucked out and now I am being told I suck because I overbet. I left the table feeling totally lost deflated and not having a clue how I should have played the hand.

been there done that . you know sometimes no matter what you do in that situation is wrong . at a ring game you would have thought that your starting bet was enough to run the A rags out ,but being on a 10/25 table it wasnt . lol its kinda like when I go down to the boats to gamble and its the first of the month ,No matter how you play you always have that player who calls all the way to the river just because they just got their unemployment or disability check. lol

likewise KK allways seems to meet an ace on the flop.....well most times .....how can you say what the right way to play it is?...all depends on the other players and position i suppose....but one thing is for sure,if anyone calls you a donk for raising the pot to high and they enter the pot and lose, tell them they could have folded, calling wasnt compulsory....

you play your game and don't worry about fools who talk alot of junk online. I would definately bet big on KK and if the A45 come out and pair someone up then so be it. It's Poker! and that is why we play the game for the challange!. Fear not , Play your game!

Without giving out too much stategy. If KK was my hand on any cash table.I would raise big before the flop.If no A or Straight Draw on the board and even with opponents raising big.
I would still come over the top again with a raise. Before the turn card.I normally get myself pot commited with my KK's.Not sure if my advice will help you.But thats what i normally do.

KK just lost for me again in the Wass buyin. I raise it to 425, blinds 25\50 and get 3 callers 1010, AJ and AK ,no A on flop so go allin so do the other 3 and I am rivered with a 10. I think I am just gonna fold AA, KK, QQ, JJ and start calling rags.

You're just having a bad run chick, best thing to do is not play for the rest of the night at least.
You did nothing wrong pre-flop and really speaking you have to raise to have a good understanding of what the callers have, the very fact they called that much meant they had either a lower pocket pair or an ace but with two callers you can be sure one of them has a bullet.
If anything you may have been wrong to call $1 after the flop but you had a free river so you had a reasonable price to see the last two cards.
You were correct to fold as you know.
All in all you didn't do much wrong, so keep your chin up and win the next one.
Simon
P.S. I had my AA cracked by KJ off in the buy-in tonight, only to be told I shouldn't have slowplayed. I would play the hand the same again and get all the money 8 times out of 10, that's poker.

hey novi,
i say you played that hand the way most people would have, folded.
the chances that he had a were almost a definite. the checks proved that to me as i think he was waiting for a bet to call or reraise. he did that to keep others in the hand for more chips.
you made the right play in my book. as far as his tutorial, would he have said anything had he not won the hand? dont let those comments interfere with YOUR way of play.
