interesting
I have just been playing in the new members freeroll, lots of entries found it very interesting, need to sit and watch for a while unless I get a good hand, very aggresive table so I need to re-think the way I play lol when you only have 1000 chips and blinds go up every 8 mins cant hang around to much, but you need the cards to do anything with, so will have another go later today maybel at least I didnt get knocked out for a while, stayed in the game longer than expected.

Freeroll
Freerolls are a whole different game in itself. After all, its free and some
peopleculd care less about playing good poker. If they get lucky, ok if they lose, nothing lost. Freerolls just change a players style of play, try different things, see what works what doesnt. You can learn and try things yourself. Relax and enjoy the game. Who knows, you just might get a ribbon.

Those big freerolls are good practice for beginners..
I don't play those huge crazy games anymore (with like 600 entries).. Do I want to play a tourney for 3.5 hours to make MAYBE $15 if I actually win. No way! That's just too frustrating! I used to do that all the time though, and usually play for over 3 hours and be soooo thrilled that I won $1.20 , lol
But for beginners I think it's very good to practice patience, to see how far you can make it into the tourney. Which sounds like what you're doing.. Good luck!

Well done Annie and I hope you do well in the next stage. GL
I have a question for you. What is your Poker experience prior to Wass, do you play regularly, on line/live ?

Thankyou all for your words on advice and encouragment, I am playing these freerolls to feel comfortable on the site. Pastieman, I have been playing online for about 18 months but not all the time, when I went to Vegas last year with chumley and totty I played live for small buy ins and enjoyed it very much, I know I still have a great deal to learn, one thing I know I need to do is when I have a good hand to be more aggresive, not limp in, but I am learning fast so with luck will start playing better, thankyou for your interest.

Annie, just ask Mark about aggression, he and jayc are the most aggressive players on Wass, sadly jayc is gone and I am trying to fill his boots.

Thankyou Pastieman I have played with Mark at his and Debs home, and yes he is very aggresive, much more than I will ever be, but by watching him I have learnt when to push harder with a good hand, we only play for pennies but its good experience and good fun, have you seen his latest result, he is amazing, take a look lol, as for filling anybody elses shoes Im sure that will not be too difficult for you, from what im told you are a very good player, good luck.

Of course you are correct people dont care playing in freerolls as there is no money involved, but at the moment with a lot more new sites I am playing on Im finding them useful for practice purposes, and not having to worry about money, I hope I can win one, but time will tell, good luck in all your games and thankyou for your advice.
