Sitouts

Tried to play the Birthday freeroll on CD tonight. 10 seat tables, only 3 playing, 7 sitouts. Slow played every hand because the other 2 were going for it.
I only played pocket K's or A's.
Had quite a good stack by the break.
Moved to a new table and then we start to take out the sitouts.
Only me and another player actually betting.
It should not have got to this. Absolute can eliminate sitouts so why can't CD.
I lost with a straight to a flush, but there were still sitouts at the table.
The latest updates give us the various betting options with fraction
s of the pot so why can't they take out the sit outs.
THEY REALLY PISS ME OFF.
Or should I join them. Reg for every freeroll going and then see if I have won something. Not my style b ut I will give it a go tomorrow.

Xenia95 I also have played in freerolls where there have been a lot of sit outs and only a couple of players making any moves and yes it is frustrating when you bet with what you think is a reasonable hand and get knocked out, and the sit outs stay in, but I like playing these games and have decided that I will only make any move if I have good cards to do anything with, so far it is working and im getting in the money more often than not, so manybe thats the way to deal with this situation. good luck in anymore games you play.

Any software package could add the functionality to remove sitouts like AP does. It's a matter of priorities. Removing sitters from buyins would be a pretty poor move since they paid to register, so we're talking about something that would only apply to freerolls.

I don't mind the play being shorthanded, but I do dislike the fact that the tournaments take a lot longer because all the sitters have to be blinded out. I play maybe one every month or two, and only when I'm multi-tabling or multi-tasking.

i got a special 2.5K freeroll every month, 500+ regged and about 100 actual playing
it happens a lot that there are just 1 or 2 players playing at a table, i always strike
a deal with the other player to take the sitouts blinds togheter, 1 for me 1 for him

works great, mostly after the break i have a decent stack and real play can start

I don't know why this upsets you. It is extremely easy to take advantage of the 2 or 3 other people at the table that are playing. Personally I don't think the sitouts should be eliminated until all of their chips are gone. On AP when they get rid of the sitouts they are taking chips away from the game that should have been up for grabs.

Also the tournaments don't take longer due to sitouts there are just more people in until a later point in the tournament.

Finally, it's only in a freeroll you would see so many people sitting out. It's sad if something really ticks you off so much and you didn't invest a penny.
