Default Riding the HORSE

Figured I needed to get my feet wet. Jumped into my first horse tournie and am holding my own. Way above my head but figure every little bit of exposure helps. So I'll share the maiden voyage Moment of Glory.

Hopefully I will get a handle on this and become competitive

i avoid horse at all cost, 7 stud was the game i first learned to play poker on, now i can't stand it people will chase anything and i'll have 4 to a flush and an open ended str8 draw after 4 cards and can't hit for the life of me

All limit games tend to involve more chasing because the pot odds offered make it mathematically correct to do so. In HORSE, however - at least at the very low levels I've tried - there's even more. I'd guess the main reason is that a lot of people have little clue as to how to play the various games. Not that I know much myself, but I see plays made all the time that are clearly poor.

Good luck with mastering HORSE Dori, I'm sure you'll be a natural

I really like HORSE, If it wasn't for the freeroll I would never of played it. It also made me realise I wasn't too bad at Omaha Hi/Lo and Razz either. I just wish other people liked it as much as me because the cash tables are always empty and I'd like to play more of it

So if you're reading this and want to play HORSE on the cash tables, gimme a shout

Good luck there Dori113. Ahhh that screen shot you are showing if you like to show just the program (poker table you are playing and not your task bar and more),move your mouse over the program (poker table in this case) left click to select and then hold the Ctrl & Alt keys and press PrtSc at same time (on your keyboard).

No use showing us the other stuff you have on screen and also you will give use a better quality screen shot of the table in this case.

Oh yea remember to track what poker game you are playing at that time in poker game and good luck!!!!

thanks all and thanks cow for the s/s infor appreciated. I couldn't find play money games so wanting to learn I felt I better go freeroll and try. Going to keep at it when I can and just see if I can pick something up from it. Too baffled to grasp anything today but held on for a bit.

Horse is a great game in my book. It allows you to play all the games that are held at the WSOP. Allows you to lear discipline at all types of games.

I try to play one every week at some point. Although my main game is no limit hod'em, I think HORSE rus a close second.

plenty of HORSE play sngs at Pokerstars...really useful to get the hang of it.
Is the HORSE freroll still on at Wass?
Wouldn't mind a bash at it.

Just remembered if you want to try Horse for small money go to Full Tilt.Sngs for $1 there.

It may not be for everyone, but I try to play the individual games, not just HORSE tournaments. While I admit I only follow my own advice to a limited extent myself, it allows me to focus on one game at a time, which fits the way I learn.
