So who would have played this hand differently
I am fed up with people moaning at me for playing poker, do people really expect you to fold a straight. Wake up folks this is POKER, take it on the chin and move on without comment.

No, you played it right Pastie. The only Hand you have to worry about is QT and it is unlikely Novi would raise it up with QT.
Novis raise preflop was to small at this Blind Level. Calling a pot size bet preflop in position is with the implied odds okay. The AllIn from Novi on the Turn was more a desperate move and you wouldnt do that with the nut straight. With the nut straight you want to extract value.
I would bet more with QQ preflop and raise AllIn post flop on that board instead.
As played I would check the turn and throw the QQ away against a raise with "nh". 830 is still a big enough stack to get into the game.

As German said, only way for her to get away with it was all-in after the flop. You could still call but you wouldn't have the correct odds to do so.
Knowing you, i wouldn't be surprised to see you raise her after the flop just in case she was making the continuation bet. Of course you would hear All-in immediatelly here and would have to call.
Both calling or raising are correct moves here if you strictly consider pure mathematical odds.
Can't imagine someone folding your hand here anyway.

The only consideration is the call of the raise under the gun pre-flop. But to be honest with 2 limpers the QQ should of defo made a bigger raise. There was 35 in the pot already so a raise to 45 with the big blind still to act and 2 limpers is inviting trouble with a capital T.
The QQ was unlucky that once the flop happened you were never going anywhere derek not with an open ender to draw to and you may have thought at least pairing your ace was good giving you 11 outs.
I would of played the QQ different to get rid of weak aces like yours but I do not think you did anything wrong.
As a ps to novi, once the 7 came on the turn it was not the time for an all in bet, someone could of already hit the str8 and now there is a flush draw out there your overpair is very weak by the turn, a check or a feeler bet would of been the way to go all in was only going to cost you dear.
Well played M8
Nick

I dont think you did anything wrong pastieman, I would have done the same thing, but if I had pocket queens I would have raised more in the first place, well done and keep up the good play.
