Default CAKE My Rant!

Just thought I would post here a copy of an Email I sent to Cake today, just to get it off of my chest, but would also like your comments.

Quote:
Hello! I would love to play poker at Cake. Unfortunately, none of your payment "solutions" will allow me to.
1) Neteller refuses, even though I have used their "service" before, instead demanding that I "upgrade my account". I do not want, or need to "upgrade my account" as the details on my account on the website clearly show that I "can make up to four deposits per day, up to your limit". When I try to fund my account however, the brilliant advice comes:
The deposit amount must be between £10.00 and £0.00. Please try again.
It is impossible to comply with this instruction, as elsewhere it states:
Minimum deposit £10.00.
Asking their "Online Help" to explain only garnered a demand that I "upgrade", so reluctantly I tried to comply. This involves scanning or photographing my Bank Statement, and Passport/Driving licence and Emailing it to them. They then refused to "upgrade my account" (a facilty, which you may recall I did not require in the first place), because I HAVE CHANGED MY EMAIL ADDRESS (!!!) This means that out there somewhere are all the details that a fraudster might need to carry out an identity theft. Mind you I hope he has better luck in spending MY money than I am having.
2) Moneybookers refused my first card on the "grounds" that "Card not Issued in the UK", despite the card being issued by NatWest, a UK bank, owned by The Royal Bank of Scotland, also in the UK the last time I checked(!), and issued to me, a UK national, living in the UK.
3) My second card also refused by Moneybookers. I have called my bank who say there is no reason why my card should not be accepted. Moneybookers' "help" line (premium rate phone call) is staffed by people with D minus English language skills, and F grade people skills. After calling them five times I have been asked to "call your bank" (done, see above), wait for and hour, (done, no change) wait for 24 hours (done no change), they then started muttering incomprehensibly about "our payment provider will not allow the transaction" I must admit that I had assumed that I was the only payment provider in this transaction, but apperently there is a "payment provider" in Germany, who Moneybookers are not able to disclose who they are or what relationship they have to me, you, or indeed them.

This level of hoop-jumping is a serious deterrent to your potential clients, and a serious drain on your income.
I can use this card without problems, for example, for direct purchases, (it is a Solo/Maestro BTW), on Ebay via PayPal, at Virgin Poker and Poker.co.uk via webdollar, and directly at CD Poker. My card is registered with Mastercard Secure.

Moneybookers, helpfully, does not have an Email address on their website, so I would be glad if you could pass on these concerns, and would be even happier if you could arrange to accept Maestro/Solo cards directly, so that I do not have to waste my weekends trying to give money to companies who go out of their way to make it impossible.

/rant mode now set to OFF

Have a nice weekend, love Stephen Parry, (Wakou222)

The best thingto do is use the UseMyWallet feature, which is quicktender. What you do is send Cake an email stating that you would like to sign up for their UseMyWallet. They will send you an email with a link that will start your registration. And after you register, depositing and the withdrawls are very very easy.

Amazing, when I made a withdrawal from Cake I used epassporte which is now not an option. I could use ewalletexpress which charges 10% but this is way too much money.

Now u have a small piece of the frustration usa customers have been having...IT'S A FREAKIN' NIGHTMARE!! When ePassporte dropped the usa, before I could grab my cash, I needed to provide the same qualifying documentation, even though I had been a customer, with the upgrade, for 3 years. Same garbage with netteller, etc, etc,. And you don't have to tell me about the bullsh*t 45 minute wait on the phone, only to have them tell me to send something else and call em back!

It hasn't been as convenient to move money around since the US government got into the act and passed the UIGEA, which pushed the most used e-wallet out, Neteller, and in doing so, made it easier for others to do things like charge 10%.
