Champs League predictions

Not long until the big kick off, the Redmen take on Chelski at Anfield. My prediction through my biased glasses is a 1-0 win courtesy of Alonso, althought a goalless draw is probably the most likely outcome.

And then there's the small matter of Barca vs Utd tomorrow with Henry reportedly out due to illness. Utd haven't been too convincing away from home in Europe performance wise, but I can't see Barca beating them in either leg, and so my predictions are as below..

Liverpool 1 - 0 Chelsea
Barcelona 1 - 1 Man Utd

Here's hoping Liverpool can give Liam Harker something to smile about tonight

I don't really mind who wins tonight because we're already through lol so as a neutral I'm hoping for an entertaining game, not another bore draw. Can Chelsea put one over on their bogey team at home? or will the scousers pull another one out the bag?. I really can't call it and certainly won't be betting on it. Anyway, good luck to both and may the best team win

Good news today regarding the Russian Government allowing Visa wavers for those travelling to the Champions League Final with tickets and this will also hopefully deter those who don't have tickets who may be going in search of trouble. Here's hoping there are no over reactions by the Moscow police as there isn't too much tension between Chelsea and Utd fans, and as a Liverpool fan I am obviously alligning myself with the Stamford Bridge crew, although it seems with the anniversary of the Munich disaster and it being 100 years since Utd won their first trophy everything it pointing to a Utd win

Also sad news on the Liverpool website yesterday, I made reference to Laim Harker in my initial post in this thread, and unfortunately Liam lost his battle against cancer yesterday. The story is a sad one, as he was at one point told he has beaten the illness only for it to return and spread, but the article on the Liverpool site is a nice tribute and I'm sure Liam is up there now having a kick around with the great man himself (Shankly).
