Are there any European Soccer experts here who can educate us at to who will win the Euro 2008 Championship?
16 teams from 16 countries will compete. Germany cruised through qualifying, got a relatively kind draw and now finds itself the favorite at next month's European Championship. The Competition begins on June 7th. Italy, Portugal, France, Spain and Croatia, appear to be the other main contenders.
I particularly like watching high-level soccer, although anything else has no appeal for me. But this tournament, as does the World Cup, has many great athletes competing in it.

I would be suprized if the favourites win this tournie, Is there another Greece out there, ie Poland.
From the outsiders I would pick either Poland or Russia, Germany should win it but I think they could fall in the semi's.
I would like to see Spain finally prove that they have a good national team to compare with the likes of Barcalona and Real Madrid, not forgetting that a few of their players have tasted the premiership now. Torres could be the difference if he can continue his Liverpool form.
My tip to win is Italy, no real reason except the fact that everyone seems to be overlooking them as contenders.
well Denmark failed miserable and didnt qualify. So i will probably be cheering on Sweden as the dark horse and Spain to finally prove that they can play soccer and actually win a cup
