I am really a big fan of alex rodriguez. I thought he was one of the few clean players able to get his results free of steroids. There is now a breaking story that he is going to be involved in a steroid scandal. He was mentioned in Jose Cansecos book as a steroid user but no one believed Jose Conseco. I definitly hope its not ture. Tough to find out about Roger Clements and now another black eye for the Yankees. Even though Clements denied steroid use have tainted syringes with his blood on them wonder what evidence they have on arod as this is a breaking story.

I agree. I would not like ARod's fantastic performances year in year out to be diminished by finding out he has taken performance enhancing drugs.

I like ARod as a player but have always doubted his character somewhat. He has always seemed quite a selfish player. This hasn't particularly bothered me as I suspect that to be such a high level sportsperson you probably have to be selfish and arrogant.

These doubts haven't stopped me being an admirer of his skills as a baseball player. However a drugs scandal would probably kill that respect.

It makes me worry about baseball as a sport. They need to clean it up urgently. What's next? American football players taking steroids?

Drugs in every sport whereever you look.

In Austria we had last year a lot of problems with the bike sport, Mister Kohl from Austria was such an idol over here. He made very good positions at Tour de France but than the bomb exploded-> he was on drugs.

Right Adam, what´s next? Soccer, Football, ....

Professional sport should be without any drugs. Otherwise people will loose their trust into such sports and will loose their trust to their idols. And this should not happen at all.

I think it's time for people to start realizing that most every baseball in this era, has used steroids. It's really sad that's come down to this, but obv records for anyone that has used steroids should be nullified.

I must admit that i once used drugs to enhance my performance. It was during the live game in Newcastle 2008 when i used Ibroprofen for a toothache. Will i be banned???
