just a thought
i was wondering if it was possible to have games on here with members and so on with a percentage of the prize fund going to the next live event final, just to bump up the final table prize money and maybe pay for other things which may improve the live events game.
ie every live tourny game 10 or 5 dollars would go towards the final table amount and you could have like a digital display showing how much would be going into the final tables without any of the buy ins
which would be added on the day on theis site..
thought it might attract more people to away games and could make it bigger.

The idea is very nice but I dont think those from other countries should have a rake against them for a Live game in the UK that they will never be able to attend. You could have Special games throughout the year for tickets to Wass Main Event buyin = £25

Funnily enough, I was just talking about this idea with Block earlier on today.
Now, I don't know anything about setting up a tournament so i might be talking out my arse here but,
with regards to the problem of taking a percentage of the buy-in - could this not be handled the same way that Sumosam charity tournament is dealt with.
As far as people playing and not coming, surely that is there decision. If it is a problem then it might even make them more determined to turn up.
But just think how much we can boost the prizepool by. If we get 30 ppl playing every week, which is less than half the ppl that came to Stoke, and even if it was only $1 per person going to the prizepool. We could have excess $600.
Personally I would be willing to put $2 in a week.
We could also put it on on a Weds, when we have no buy-ins.
p.s
Also love Pasties idea

thanks
thanks for all your comments i know their would be some teething problems but i do think some sort of game/tourney would help the away games. but like one of you said who ever wants to play the selected tournys would know that a percentage of the total table would go towards the live event.
but still people who have got no intrest of comming to the next one or its too far away for them to travel can still play but maybe 1 or 2 dollars even would goto main tourny pot.
but anyway ive only joined not so long ago so im very new to this but i was in stoke and i thought it was good so im just reading all the feedback from others in here and was thinking what could make it better.

it would be possible for this type of game to be set up at carbon/poker.com as they already host games which they take a percentage of the buyin out. Ie for a $2.20 game they add an extra $1 and keep that $1 back. - 25 players = $25
