Singles League

This initial post is to get some idea of how many interested people we have. The ability to run our own leagues is due to happen soon so I am going to take advantage of this.

The league will be a singles league, it will run on Wednesday Evenings at 9pm UK time (15.00 Wass Poker time) on Wass Poker (cos someones bound to ask).

I have posted a second thread here :Singles League Update with a bit more info on it.

$2 buyin with a 20c fee. If its possible $1 of the entry will be paid out at the end of the tourney, so if 30 people enter, $30 will be paid out and top 5 will be paid. The other $1 will be collected to pay out at the end of the league to the top finishers. The league will run for 10 weeks, meaning at the end of the league, with 30 players, there will be $300 to be paid out, again the top 5 will be paid.

The payout structure used will be the standard one used by the site, so if there are less than 30 players only the top 3 will be paid after each tournament, but I would like at least the top 5 finishers after 10 weeks to be paid.

If your interested and can play on the day and at the time stated, then please post here to give me an idea of the numbers and then as soon as the facility is active we can get started.

Will every result count or a certain number of results? ie if you miss a game do you just miss out on the points you might have won? Will every position count or just the top 10 or whatever?

What ever the answer to these questions, count me in lol.

hmm I'm interested but can't play every night so is it going to be .. your top X number finishes or the player who plays the most games wins?

Its only going to be on a Wednesday night at 9pm as mentioned in the first post. So basically when we get going work out the likelyhood of you being able to play for 10 consecutive Wenesdays. If you think you will miss a couple thats fine, it just means you don't get any points for the ones you miss. Someone could play all 10 games but never get anywhere near a win, likewise someone might only play 6 times but win 4 of them ad have a chance of finishing in the money.

Can't really decide how many score points until I know how many are playing. Every game will count, so after 10 weeks all of your points will have been added together, whoever has the most wins, if you miss a game or two then you just get 0 points for those games.

The league will be updated after every game so you will always be able to check where you stand.

Well I am game for it too, was talking to evil about this too, and will put the same idea forward here too.

If your going to have a league and then collect $1 for a final payout, you might want to change it to have a final playoff game, and go down the same route as what they had in the summerchamps tournie of champions game, where it was a unique stack format, merger can now run these games, think they just need a bit of time to get it set up etc. But then top gets most chips, last gets least chips etc and have a playoff for everyone, I think it would make it even more competitive and keep people interested for the whole season as it counts all the time.
