HEALTH ISSUES

AT THE END OF THE DAY, ALL WE HAVE IS OUR MIND & BODY.
I HAVE ALWAYS CONSIDERED MYSELF AS HEALTHY AND A BIT SMARTER THAN THE AVERAGE BEAR. BOY WAS I WRONG.
IF I WAS SMART I WOULD HAVE QUIT SMOKING MANY YEARS AGO, I WOULD HAVE EXERCISED MORE, ATE BETTER FOODS. NOW AT 51 I AM PAYING THE PRICE.
AFTER MY DBL. BY-PASS IN MARCH, I THOUGHT THINGS WERE GOING TO BE BETTER FOR ME. UNFORTUNATLY THE WIRES THAT WERE PUT IN TO HOLD MY STERNUM TOGETHER UNTIL THE BONE HEALED BACK BROKE , NOW THE PAIN IS UNBEARABLE. SO I HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY ON TUESDAY FOR THEM TO TRY AND REPAIR IT. MY TIP TO ALL IS YOU ONLY HAVE 1 BODY, TREAT IT WELL, SO IT WILL LAST AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.
SOMETIMES I THINK I AM LOSING MY MIND. I CANNOT FIND MY BRL TROPHY.

Don't know if this will help, but...

You know you're getting older when sex isn't a priority.

You're getting even older when you can't remember the last time you had any.

You're even older when you can't remember the names of those you had sex with.

And you ain't got too long to go when the doctors are the ones screwing you.

Hope you still got some priorities there motor.

Sorry to hear Ron, that your health didnt get better with medicine only.

I cross my fingers for your surgery and hope you´ll be very soon back at the tables and in the forum because i love to read your posts because you always have a big meaning in it. In 8 days i am 28 years old and you really make me think about my habbits.

I'm not sure what to say that i haven't already told you Motor.I think about my bad habits everyday,but it takes a post like this for it to really slap me in the face.Will i change them probably not right now.

Hope your latest surgery is a successful one and you'll be able to enjoy life a little more after its completed.

P.S. I see your BRL Trophy now so you can call off the cops

You are such an inspiration for so many of us here. I can't even start to imagine what kind of pain you must, constantly, be in, yet every time you make a post its so uplifting and heartfelt and I for 1 love to read your posts. You are always so positive and I love your outlook on life.

I hope all goes well for you on Tuesday and this time make sure you rest up properly. Don't be doing anything silly or trying to do too much too soon afterwards. As you said we only have 1 body and only 1 life and I think most of us here smoke, drink, eat junk food, don't exercise enough and we probably hardly even think about what we are doing to our bodies.

I will be thinking of you and hoping all goes well.

Good luck with the surgery and recovery mate. Take your time and post when you can with your progress. I'm also thinking of your family and close friends who have to go through it all again.

sad to hear your initial treatment has failed motor........best wishes for tuesday ....im a great beleiver in positive thinking and while that will not fix this alone im sure it will help....stay strong m8...
