Default INTERNET POKER PLAYERS

i was watching poker on tv early this morning and the subject of internet players was brought up by one of the pros during an interveiw...seems the internet players are despised by pro players because they know the pros play and the pros know nothing about the internet players......what do you think ?..surely any pro worth their salt would be quick to suss out a new player...i know there will be a few pros who now probably play as much online ,if not more ,than they play live ...and there are some internet players who have now gained live experience .....time the pros moved with the times eh...

the problem for the older pro live players is that they almost don't know any of the younger
internet players and some of them have problems to cope with the more aggressif playing
styles that are used on the internet.
see mister mouth during the last wsop main event, every time a internet player
caught him with his own game he started to call them idiots because they caught him
with his hands in the cooky jar and slapped his fingers.
the other problem for the live pro is that the young internet players have less respect for
the biggies and treat them just as any other player on the table.
Also the young internet players that are used to play lots of tables play more on their feel
than the live pro's who are used to the slower pace of livegaming.

good points leo...another factor could be the increase in numbers actually playing poker...which in turn means more amatuers out there trying to take a pro's scalp.....

And the reason for that surely has to be poker being broadcast on TV where internet players have watched what kind of moves the 'pros' make and exactly the type of hands they make it with? lol

Also with the longer time players were quite happy before - as seeing a new face meant he was more likely to be easy money.

These days they've read the books, clocked up the hours on multiple tables and seen the plays on tv.

Yes the prizes are a lot bigger than before, but now its harder for them to win too.

Also in one word - evolution. Yes, it really happens

Personally the pros can complain all they want about internet players, but they need to understand that majority of poker players now a days get their start on the internet. It's a FACT! It's just this strategy/make them feel better to look done on a internet player.
