only prob i see there is whenever i have seen a post not naming some1 but giving the details then the unnamed person comes on and says " it was me " then starts the abuse going and world war 3 starts again

Alot of stuff going on here at wass that had always happened but for some reason it tends to bother people alot more now. We use to laugh about this stuff and take criticism well but now it is an all out attack. Slow down and i guess we all have to get along. I came back here for the poker advice and play but it seems that is the last thing on peoples minds these days!

Since it is hopefully an adult person, he/she will understand se consequences by stepping forward and that would be up to her/him to make his/her voice heard. In that case it would be on another level, because you wouldn't be the one who posted a name, just the story.

Just my opinion!

Otherwise I agree about not reveal any names.... that is one thing I have been practicing when I have writing my many essays on the university, and our new (new and new) lovely law in Sweden - PUL (not naming or putting out any personal info about a person without having their permission).

It sounded good when I was thinking it in Swedish. LMAO

Everybodys different Paul. If we were the same the world would be pretty boring. What you take with a pinch of salt may upset someone else. Thats life and as adults we all should be able to take the feelings of others into account.

moaning is part and parcel of any forum show me a forum that does not have moaning on it (poker forum that is ) you can close delete threads even go as far as banning members but it will not and never will stop it going on .

i jioned december 2005 and it as been going on since day 1 so i cant see it stopping

I never said I'd do anything about people moaning and neither did anyone else. Hell if we stopped people moaning the forum would probably close down.

i am one who would love to see the forum get back to how it used to be but by sencering threads to me is not the way to do it what happened to freedom of speech to much is being read in to a lot of these threads .

Freedom of speeach is fine. The vast majority will not be touched, as always. The forum how it was had very little censorship and theres no need for it to have now. Does anyone really think myself or the others have time to read through all the posts on here everyday.

members need to chill and not take everything they read so seriously i know there are the odd few threads that are overboard with the comments i except that but the majority are are ok .

Its the minority thats the problem. If you choose to mention a persons name in a post and you criticise them in any way, don't be surprised when that member comes back at you. As git rightly says, sometimes you don't need to mention a name and they will reallise its them that you mean and still come back at you. That will all be fine too. But the second any of us think its going to far the thread will be closed, posts will be deleted.

My recommendation is this. If someone makes a post attacking someone and it doesn't involve you, keep out of it. If you weren't affected then why do you need to get involved.

If Paul wants to criticise Git for something hes done then thats fine. Git is big enough and (I don't believe I am saying this) sensisible enough (there I said it) to reply to Paul all by himself and in a way that won't be deleted. He doesn't need his team mates, his fellow Welsh members, or anyone else to retaliate. Likewise Paul doesn't need anyone to help him.

If the posts are made without all the abusive language etc they will be left. If the posts get reported they will be reviewed and we will deem if any action is necessary. Most of the time they will be left.

So harking back to Pasties title. Consider other people before you post.

One final thing. Take you arguments to the river room. Keep them off the main section of the forum. The only reason people put those threads in general chat is for maximum exposure.

Gary you and I have spoken about naming members and I see where you are coming from and I will be careful in the future.

All my threads will now be posted in the River Room where perhaps I may be able to fight my corner with retaliatory insults as this is what happens in my threads, ...invade Pasties threads he don't mind. . But even in the Riverroom, I expect what was said in all 3 threads would not be allowed would it?

can you please re open my threads and put in the Riverroom.....only joking. I know you can't.

Perhaps a thread could be opened with the names of those that can/cannot take the heat so we can avoid the volatile ones.. After this week put me down in the Can list please.
