It takes a lot of WORK and dedication to make a forum succesfull.
It looks to me like nobody are willing to do the WORK it takes anymore.
Everybody has given up. No new ideas are implemented.
Most FR are gone. Most added games are gone.
The ones left are at different times, the nights they do run, which makes it hard to remember. The callender is not always updated. The PW's are not always updated. When things are outdated, people stop using it fast.

The few succesfull things going on inhere are being exploited to the full so they 2 will be gone pretty soon. í/e No WORK is done to attract more members to the BRL or optimize it. Every time someone comes with an idea to make it better its discarded just because....
Sometimes the scores are not updated for weeks. That is not helping. The players want to know how they did fast.
How many less posts has there been in december when BRL has been on vacation.

Also the members initiatives are gone from the forum. Many of the things on Wass was started by non mods/admins. That doesn't happen anymore.

I wonder why.

As has been said elsewhere the games have been peeled back for them to be built up again. We have had 4 freerolls on Noble and Titan poker over the last 6 weeks as well as buy ins with added money there. WassPoker has had its added games taken away as the site was macking a loss as there was not enough of us actually playing on the site for various reasons apart from the games which had the extra money. We now have the monday and tuesday buyin put back in place but with no money added as well as a new game on the friday.
The ones left are at different times, the nights they do run, which makes it hard to remember.

the calander is kept upto date. the only games not on it at the moment are the Cake games as they were supposed to have been removed by cake a good few weeks ago and they have seemed to have forgoten about they for some reason. we are sort of not tempting faith by putting them back on. A few of us (mainly Pastieman) make sure what ever games are on each day are well posted on the forum
The PW's are not always updated.
the passwords for games are always there for games at the moment. a few cake freerolls were missed in the past by us trying to keep the password off the forum till the last minute to keep people out whole should not have been in it and the odd time it was forgot to be put up (we are human). They are now permiately in their section.
When things are outdated, people stop using it fast.

We are going to a transition period which is a tad difficult. I am at times annoyed and frustrated by it but as Block says it is our forum and it is up to each and everyone of us to help it get back to where it was by posting, supporting the buy in, bringing in new members etc. There are more buy ins at different sites on the way and remember Wassonline and WassPoker are two separate things which happen to be owned by the same person. We mods/admin have no control over what goes on with WassPoker and to be honest most of us don't give a shite what happens to it once the forum gets back to somewhere near the place it was in the past.

The BRL is Trish's baby and is a game set up by a member for the forum. She is not well at the moment and finds it hard to keep the scores as updates as she would like.
How do you suggest making the BRL better?

This has always been the way ever since the BRL began as people are busier around Christmas. There is more to the forum than the BRL but unforunately there are a lot of members here who would be more than happy just to play the BRL and no bother to post except maybe in there team thread. This does not help the forum at all and that is why we now ask team members to post twice a month out side of their team thread so as to help members mix and to encorage traffic around all sections of the forum.

Also the members initiatives are gone from the forum.

We are trying to get things back to where they where via a compelte restructuring of our games structure but this is going to take time and needs all our members support. there have been a good few teething problems and the new owners does thing differently that the previous owners and it will take time for us all to get used to these changes. He has left the running to the mods and admin and communicates with us to pass on info and we pass on problems and requests to him.

I really wish i could support WASS more but i dont have a bankroll so cant play buyins. I hope my finacial situation changes very soon so i can try to help but until then BRL is all i have other than free play.

Will be interesting to see what happens. I've seen some good ideas here; reading a lot of what has been going on here, I wouldn't object to playing buy-in games as long as they're not too expensive. Nothing runs on air, after all, but if you price yourself out of the market you're dealing with a very limited client base and how reliable will that always be? A spread of affordable games to suit all is the obvious route to go...a quick surge to very high stake buy-in games could well have the opposite effect to the desired one!

As I stated in another post I'm having issues with Wasspoker on trying to deposit with them...so no games for me or Patti right now until they get there act together...in the mean time I'm playing at another site and joined their forum... they give $5.00 for the post of the month award which makes it interesting....(which I won last month lol)..and they play on the same site so you don't have to deposit all over the place... I have been a Wass member for a few yrs now and have met a lot of good people and would love to see this forum get strong again..hopefully it will happen as I see newer people joining and posting...and thats a good sign.
