Buy-ins need to be on at the right time and on the right site.

I work most weekday and Sunday evenings (UK time) and I've kind of given up playing on Merge skins. Not really interested in playing on PokerStars or Fool Tilt.

I'm just about to deposit on Bodog so if there was a regular game on there - say 9pm UK time on Saturday, I would do my best to play most weeks.

A low buy-in of $2 or so would also tempt me further - but I'm not really a skinflint.

Well, not much.

Simple reply from me. My issue is with the government lol...It is a pain in the ass to deposit and to withdrawal being American.

Also I have class every night so I am only around for games on weekends.

I would play as they were tho if I could cause I used to play all the time no matter what the deal was.

I used to play some of the buyins infrquently in on Wasspoker. But I for one will probably never deposit on Wasspoker again due to their refusal to honor their bonus codes in the past. Therefore I have no money there. Nor do I want to trade to get money there as I am still rather pissed off at that site.
I will think about putting some money on Cake to paly with. And will check out the Wass games there.

Make a buy in game every night at the same time. Say 20:30 uk time.
The starting times should be fixed. The games should not:

Mon + tue buy in at Wass (like now)
Wed + thur buyin at Cake. Make one a radiogame.
Fri Titan or Noble (maybe a HORSE game)
Sat + sunday Buy in at Poker stars, PP or Full tilt.

Always keep the freerolls starting ½ hour before the buy ins. (if you are playing the FR you are more likely to play the buy in as well)

Have a 1 point every night (no rebuy) at 20:00 (again more likely to play the buy in as well)

Find out if you want to please the Americans or the Europeans with a game. Don't try to place it so both can play. When you do its mostly 2 late for me. (and probably a lot of others) and 2 early for most US players anyways.

Never start a game between 21:30 and 02:00 uk time

Keep it simple.

Hmm.... well, me as most of the others have a poor bankroll... like not existing at all and the situation does not allow me to deposit right now.

However, I am thinking, what if there were a tourney race or how I should name it. Hmm... some kind of league... don't know.

To start with a small one, let's run 10-20 tourneys with $2.20 buy ins each. Half of the price of the buy in goes to the prize pool in that particular tourney and the other half goes to an ending tourney/freeroll. Each tourney gives X points, you can get points from what place you end up or from just playing the tourney. With X points you get a coupon and can enter the ending tourney for free, like a freeroll. But if you want you can buy in to it for maybe $2.20...

With this there is something to hunt for. Just a crazy idea. This requires some admin from both the poker room and some from the forum to have control, but it could be fun for others.

Just a thought!

this idea was put to the last owners (as it is a decent idea) but we where told there was no way of doing this. Only other way would be everyone who wants to play in a month league format transfer $5 to a designated treasurer and the top what ever plays off at the end of the month for the prizepool with the winner of the leaderboard getting a certain % for the achievement of winning the league.

I think it can be done somehow... either you buy in and the payout will be done manually... I do believe it can be done. I have played tourneys at merges with a guaranteed prize pool, but the prizes was paid out manually.

Because of that I think it is possible,... well, I am not an admin for the poker room, I can't say for sure.

I am also thinking about the charity ball, you pay $4.40 for the tourney and some goes to charity and the rest back to the winners of the tourney. That is the reason why I think it can be done. It just requiers some work, maybe the previous owner didn't want to make it happened for some reason. I don't know....

I think Jon is the person who can make it happen in that case. I think it doesn't harm to ask him if he can check in to this now.... the software is upgraded too, not that I know when it was asked last time.

I think it is worth a new shot!

except for the weekends most of the forum games go off when i'm either at work or on my way home from work, being an american has its drawbacks for these forum games

I like the Cake games and buy in to those so I hope that does help out the forum, and I like Cake, I also play there under another skin, but Wasspoker is not as good, at least to me, and I had some problems with it too that took support some time to get back to me about, I signed up for Wasspoker through the forum links and so the games I play there should credit the forum, I like the 17:30 (EST) $1250 guaranteed tourney for only $5.50, to me that is an attractive tourney since it is a feeezeout, the Sissy game is a rebuy, but only one rebuy, so that is not too bad, but it also is set up between two games on Cake, and I just cannot play a game on Cake and on Wasspoker at the same time, unless someone can tell me how to stop the screen from coming to the top automatically, which has caused me to misclick in games.

On merge go to your settings
click on window tab (should be 4th tab across the top)
uncheck the box that says: Bring Active Game to Front
Save and Close

now when it is your turn on the table your toolbar will just blink, it will not pop up. Don't forget the save and close part though so that your new command is saved.
