Well, actually I don't believe the story of the "not random" computer programs in online poker rooms, I've seen myself in many live tournaments on tv that bad beats happen there, too..Maybe less frequently but just because there are better players that manage to avoid them and because the number of played hands is smaller.
I remember a live pro game where a player was holding pocket K7 and the other TT. Flop came K7T and they both pushed it all in. Turn came 7, but wasn't still enough. River: 7 again, four of a kind against full house. Some hands later the player that had lost, since he had few chips left, went all in with 9s9h and got called with Ad Jd by the very same pl. he had just got bad beaten by. Flop came sthg like As 4d 6h, turn 5d so this guy needed only the 9c to win the hand (about 2%)..guess what came out on the river....
