WHO IS BEST GUITAR PLAYER OF ALL TIME?

Beings as we now have this lovely music section to discuss our fave songs of all time and music related stuff... I was wondering who people think rank as the best guitar players of all time.

I have a few faves and cant decide who is best as they are all good in their own rights... you can have Jimi hendrix... Slash - guns n roses... mark knopfler - dire straits... eric clapton and even brian may of queen. Im quite undecided as to who i would pick as its quite a hard choice!! You may have another guitarist who you think is better... id like to hear ppls thoughts

I voted other - JIMMY PAGE !!I'm also a big Stevie Ray Vaughn fan - the ones on your list are good too though.

Voted for other but can't decide between Joe Walsh (Eagles) The Edge (U2) Dave Gilmore (Pink Floyd) Gary Moore or Steve Hackett as my other choice.

This Kid!

Its very close but i went for hendrix because he was left handed playing a right-handed guitar upside down!!!

A couple of other notables--Steve Vai and Joe Satriani are pretty immense!!

I voted for Eric Clapton....I love him! But Jimmy Page is right up there too!

I got to see Plant & Page play in Chicago when I was living in Illinios. Really a super super show! In fact I'd say the best of all the concerts I've been to.
