What music you listen when playing poker ?

Are you listening music at all while playing poker. Or if you listen music, what kind of music you listen ?

And if you are running live poker night at your home, do you play any music in background. Or is it just noise made by chips and cards ?

I listen rap, rock,heavy metal,trance and electro while playing online. But in live games, i don't play any music. Helps everyone concentrate game better.

Allthough when i play online, it helps me relax, if I play something in background.


P.S. if I happen to get in final table, I play Ennion Morricone's - Extacy of Gold. That is huge mood booster

I listen to the radio online while I play. Mostly I listen to a local alternative rock station, WRRV. Pretty good station. They play stuff like Nirvana, Live, Lincoln Park, Pearl Jam etc.

When I get sick of that I listen to another local station that plays classic rock. Stuff like Led Zepplin, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd etc.

I also listen to HoldemRadio.com.

i must listen to music when i play online keeps me interested when i'm not catching any cards ,also like to watch music video's stops my eyes from getting all bugged out an looking crazy

at iTunes I listen to 1.fm - they have different styles like trance, house and dance and the best for me is the european dance and UK trance - perfect for relaxation!

I lean more to 'old school' 70 & 80s music....Sade,Luther Vandross,The Isley Brothers,Earth Wind & Fire...etc....Although I throw in Joss Stone,John Meyer,and to add some country flavor a little Shania Twain....Ohhh,and if I'm on a roll,I'll ever crank up my old Pink Floyd albums and blast "Money" all over the neighborhood..

Listening to the music while playing can be usefull as well as disturbing sometimes...

I do not listen to a special artist though...i just set my player random and when i get lucky while playing a song i start to repeat that song untill my luck fades away :-)

I realized that soft-slow-ballad music makes my thoughts fly away and makes me calling or even raising "dead-hands" so i prefer some dance-like music or music with cool beats.

I usually don't listen to any musics while Im playing execpt when I get on tilt I look around put some music just to cool off a little then when I'm settled down and ready for more action ( and tired of folding ) I turn off the music and play!
