i live in Philly so ive been fortunate enough to see the original Live Aid concert and the recent anniversary Live8 concert in Philly. Must be getting old.
Been thinking about who else I have seen live and here is one or to: dose anybody remember the Walker Brothers in the sixties I at the time thought they were great. the hollies, four tops foundations, gene pitney, deone warwick, lulu, and freddie star not strickly a singer but a wonderful impression of Elvis, he can rearly sing as well as being a very funny man, a bit near the knuckle sometimes but still good to see.
I used to do a bit of security work at Glastonbury, Reading etc and got to see loads of great bands over the years (while I was supposed to be working lol ) but the best band I've seen live by far is Pink Floyd, momentary lapse of reason tour 1988 @ Main Rd, Manchester.
the most embarrased i have ever been went 2 c meatloaf at wembly and me and hubby thought we would have the day in london and do shopping, we got 2 wembly and he says hold the bags a min gotta find the tickets we go 2 have our bags searched and he is laughing and my face goes bright red, we had been shopping in soho 4 adult toys
I grew up 15 mins away from a small town called Cadott, Wisconsin. Every year there is a "Rock Fest" and "Country Fest".. so i've seen a TON of bands over the years.. Of course Godsmack (who i havent seen yet) was there while i'm now living in Hawaii (grrr)
but bands i've seen :
Lynyrd Skynyrd - 2 or 3 times... rock fest and minnesota state fair.
Aerosmith - once in minneapolis
Jackyl - small bar town in Wisonsin, what a show!!!
drove 12 hours to Michigan on the new years eve for the millenium, I decided that if the world was going to blow up, I wanted Metallica to be the last band that i see!!! Metallica, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock and Sevendust.. what a show!!
seen many other bands, mostly classic rock bands.. Rock Fest was mostly about classic rock until about 4-5 years ago, a lot of newer bands have been there since (figures, i move away and they get better lol)..
