Some memorable ones were
Queen at Wembley - probably the best I've been to
The Clash in Hamburg in 1980 - got backstage and met the band
Souixsie and the Banshees - always a class act
Black Sabbath and Rainbow were also very good live acts

I'm going to see Muse for the 4th time in a couple of weeks - definitely the most awesome live band in the history of music - second maybe only to Rammstein!

i will ever remember the concert of gunsīnīroses in the olypiastadium berlin of the use your illusion-tour.
but not because of gīnīr, but faith no more! They played before and destroyed half of the stage, so gīnīr had to start later

acts I've actually seen live
Billy Joel, Joan Jett, Robert Cray, REO Speedwagon, Huey Lewis
Cray opened for Huey Lewis, it was a strange mix really. There was a faction of people screaming "Huey, Huey, Huey" and it really wasn't fair for Cray, a serious musician. Jett opened for REO, and it was a proper mix, well received, a great set of songs, I was on the floor, less than 20 rows in. I had nosebleed seats for Joel, but he's a fan's artist, he took turns addressing all angles of the coliseum. Can't remember an opening act for Joel, he has a large catalogue though, even larger now. Great stuff!!!

Too many to name...
Memorable recent ones were Dead Kennedys (one of two reunion shows) at the Axis in Boston and Steely Dan at the Greek in Berkeley.

In the past few years i've seen
Def Leppard
Whitesnake
Bon Jovi
The Fratellis
Franz Ferdinand
Velvet Revolver
The Verve
Smashing Pumpkins
and thats all i can really think of just now
