Any Jazz Fans

The 51st Monterey Jazz Festival starts today, and I live right across the street from the fairgrounds where it's held at. Some of the headliners are Herbie Hancock, Christian McBride, Nancy Wilson, Wayne Shorter, Joshua Redman, Tom Scott, and many more. The weather is perfect, mid 70's, slight breeze.

I like most jazz, not dixieland. Really like the jazz fusion era of the 70's, Chick Corea, Jean luc Ponty, Jaco Pastorious, Al DiMeola, Stanley Clark. Bands like Return to Forever, Weather Report, Mahavishu Orchestra. Also big band music that delivers a punch, Maynard Fergusen, Don Ellis type.

If there are any out there, what jazz do you listen to? Do you have a favorite trumpet or sax player you really like?

Jazzzzz ... hmmm never really gone deep into the genre , never really explored 2 much , BUT i do know a few JAZZY chords lol , ummm gMaj 7 CMaj 7 C#m ?????
