I had never heard the Meatload version but after listening to about 15 seconds I had to stop. Its horrible.
I know Dylan does not have a pitch perfect voice but it is a voice with character and he is a song writing genius. He has released 34 studio albums! 34, people. You don't have to like him but you should respect him. Also he has influenced many others who have followed.
Other favourite Dylan songs include: Like a Rolling Stone (yes I am pretty sure this gave the Stones their name); Knockin' on Heaven's Door (good versions by other artists as well); Hurricane (the song inspired the film of the same name and I like the film very much too); Subterranean Homesick Blues and many many others.

I am slightly ashamed to say I have only listened to Greatest Hits type albums so far. I fully intend to listen to some of the studio albums as soon as I get chance. Would you suggest I start with the ones you have mentioned?

PS I am not at all sorry for hijacking the thread. I listened to about 15 secs of the other stuff. Needed hijacking imho.

I recognise the chorus, sure its been used on an advert or a tv show over here, probably an advert. That bit isn't too bad.
Its the other parts of the song I didn't like.
I have a very wide taste in music, basically if I like a song I don't care who its by, don't care how "cool" it is for a person of my age and sex to like it.
My all time favourites though are Queen. I like 90%+ of everything they did for some reason and I have never seen any act perform a live event as good as Queen Live at Wembley. Just wish I could have been there.

I think it was the same tour that I saw Queen at Knebworth. Outstanding.
