I feel like having a rant and a rave this morning so here goes....
I work in a warehouse. I have worked in warehouses since I left school ( 10 years ago, bet most of you feel old now lol ). I've worked for all the major supermarkets here in the UK and am currently working for the greenest most eco friendly one. ( i'll let you guess who ). Anyway, in the last 5 years i've noticed that we ENGLISH and even BRITISH have become the minority. It used to be that I would have to hunt to find an interpreter for a Slovakian or Polish worker now it seems the other way round. Some of them seem ok and can be polite to you but i'm finding more and more of them are very ignorant and will only help each other. I've seen alot of things happening in the warehouse that the management should be dealing with but they don't seem to have the bottle. The amount of people who are just sitting round when they should be working is stupid. We all have a rate to hit each night and the Slovakian and Polish girls in the office are helping the other Slovakian and Polish by sending them all the 'good, easy' work meaning that they don't have to do alot to hit the rate while the rest ( me and a few other non eastern europeans ) have to slug it out to achieve. Don't get me wrong I don't mind a bit of hard graft, but it seems unfair that they do as they please. This isn't helped out by the fact that they sit in the way and slow you down. If you say anything to them they just ignore you and chat in their own language. The management need to grow a backbone and do their job and manage the people. Its not hard. Last night, or early hours this morning one of the cleaners found two 2 litre bottles of vodka and a case of red bull all empty and threw behind a pallet in the racking, the management came to have a look and just stood round looking at it for a good 20 minutes. Then told the cleaner to chuck the empty bottles/cans and left. I mean come on, what if someone had been drinking it that night? They would be driving 2 ton machinery round half cut and then probably driving home. We all signed the random drug and alcohol test form before we started work so do a few tests and see. It takes 5 minutes. I've got loads more to complain about but I think thats enough for now.


Oh and before you ask, Xenia doesn't work with me so it wasn't him with the vodka redbulls

i would suggest that you speak to management quietly and make them aware of these things, they may not actually know of most of them especially the girls in the office.

dont lie down on this issue either if you dont get help from them then go above their heads and go to the area manager or above that even.

they cant sack you for it or make your life hell as it already is but if you do nothing then you wont get better conditions and they will continue to take over our jobs

WE ( THE BRITISH ) HAVE NO RIGHTS IN OUR OWN COUNTRY ANYMORE

ONLY THE NON BRITISH WHO HALF THE TIME CANT EVEN BE BOTHERED TO LEARN OUR LANGUAGE HAVE ALL THE FEKING RIGHTS

I WILL BE SO GLAD WHEN/IF WE EVER MANAGE TO GET OUT OF EUROPE AND STAND ON OUR OWN 2 FEET AGAIN

THEN WE COULD SAY FUK HUMAN RIGHTS AND FUK THE EUROPEAN APPEAL COURT ( THAT PLACE ALWAYS FINDS IN FAVOUR OF THE NON BRITISH )

THIS COUNTRY COULD BE GREAT AGAIN ONE DAY IF WE TOLD EUROPE AND ALL ITS LAWS TO FEK OFF ..

id be straight off to speak with management....but 1st id whip up some support from other workers and approach as a group with 1 speaker.....an absolute disgrace
