Wass poker league format........

As French team captain ..... ......... Could someone from Wass give us a bit more in way of details... on the format of the league ..... when it may be starting..... what night(s) will it be running...... what sort prize are we talking about..... is there somewhere we should be regestering our teams.

Im not sure the 5 a side sit and go is the right format...... you will have to play a very strange game of poker. You will not want to take on one of your own team....if you were playing your AA, 8 players fold to your big bet the last player is a team mate with KK calls .....now could you talk to each other at this point ....lets say your stack is 1400 and theres 400 in the pot your oppnent is down to 500. if you talk to him you would say ive got AA you got KK so i will fold my AA topping up my teammates chip stack. I think any format that teaches you to play poker wrongly is a bad format. They said that when the top 5 of the USA took on the hendon mob. The realised that it would not work .... so they just played 5 games of heads up.

If it could be done at AP they have 5 table sit an goes.. if9 teams enterd a private wass randomly .....you could help a player when you can when u see one.. but most of the time you will be fighting for your team by knocking out others .....

But i think the best way will be we all enter a special wass torney .....maybe dare i say it with no money prizes to keep out the password steelers..... and then award points over the top 50 places .... ie 50 points 1st spot 1 point for 50th. so if 3 of my team finished in the top 50we would get 3 sets of points ie 22 + 11+ 4 total for my team 37 pts for that torney

Finally what night to play ....... i can play most night but for people with a social life i would surgest 2 tornys a week one on Sunday early evening uk time.... and one mid week ....on a Thursday .....a little later.....

andybee i cant agree with u more the 2 nights you mentioned are the only 2 i can play cos of work lol. so im with you there, the points system sounds quite a good idea could even do it to 100point places in tourny? or maybee not that sounds tooo many lol, but i think most ppl will want maybee 1 night a week ( sunday prob best )? dunno cmon ppl give us some input ?????????????????

well andybee the nights arn't decided yet but i don't like you're idea for the tournament, too complicated and its not a league anymore its a knockout kind of thing and thats already been decided, i don't think that will change. Thats what the guys upstairs have decided on thats what we will play. Andy Lets face it whatever these guys come up with we should agree and play not complain because over the last few months they have given us over $40,000 and we should thank them for that and we also owe them a lot for it. If it was a league i would keep score but i seriously doubt it will be. Jayc and wass rarely change their ideas.

I am not fussed on what night it is, although Thursdays would clash with the regular Titan actives.

The format I still think should be sng. Say 5 people playing from each team +20 teams in the league = 5 x 20 seat sngs. Each tourney has 1 player from each team, and you all score points for where you finish. Every team member has to play well and contribute, plus there is no chance of helping out a team mate, which there would be in any other format. (Except h2h but that is a different game).

That is Basically what we are doing except no points systems. The nights will have to be different from any other tourneys maybe wednesdays and fridays not sure yet though we will have to wait and see.

when I started typing that I was doing other things too and your post wasn't up yet. I hadn't realised a format was already decided. I can't wait for it to start whatever format they go for.
