Question about OFC buy-in game....
I was just wondering if there is anything to be gained as a team in the buy-in game. Like today in the freeroll, the top 30 scored points and the forum won a $100 freeroll (woohoo!).. Does the same thing go for the buy-in results? Or is the only thing to gain the individual prizes that the tournament pays out?
I hope that my question makes sense
UPDATE: OK, I decided to not be so lazy and to try and find out the info myself. So here is what I found out, that it does make sense to continue to (try and) play as a team:
here is what the ofc site says about it-- Buyin Event Forum Prize Pool of $1,000 will be distributed as follows:

5th Place Forum wins a $100 Private Money Added Tournament on Wass PokerEvent 1 in a 3 Event Series - Players that play in all three buyins in this 3 event series will get entry into a $1,000 Bonus Freeroll.
Forums will be scored as follows: The winning Forums in each Event will be determined by adding the total cumulative points earned by their respective members. Only the top 30 players will earn points for their respective forums in this event. Points will be earned in reverse finish method plus bonus points as follows:

Wass avatar for OFC buyin
I have a suggestion. Only those players that intend to play remotely as a team should wear the team colours. Otherwise I could potentially help out a "team mate" who fully intends to take me out.
Alternatively those that want to play as a team could post here. At the moment I would like to play as a team but is there any point if not many others are doing so.
Not that I am bitter. Seriously I have calmed down a lot since last night and I am pleased that we came 2nd but it could probably have been one better.

When to play team and when not?
Ok just a suggestion...having read some of the other posts might get shot for this....but it is a buy-in and the first prize for an individual is massive for $5-50 and I think a lot of players will be playing for themselves....however maybe this would work
How about those that want to play as a team....me included by the way...play the team way (as much as possible) until the top 30 is reached, that way we already have points for the forum and stand a good chance of winning the 1st place forum tournament and maybe we also get a wasser to win the whole thing! Which would be cool too

Of course I played for Wass. Lowly 116th but as far as I am concerned everyone displaying the logo was a team mate. The tables I played, we played as a team. No blind nicking, calling or raising blinds.
Sorry to hear that others have a different story to tell.
Never played an OFC buy in before.
I will have to see how it goes, but foremost I will play as a team member until 30 left. (I should be so lucky)
Suited Pockets only won because they were placed higher. We had more players in the last 30 than them.
Good luck all and I am WassGodxen as if you didn't know.

Good suggestion .I think this is probably the best way to play the tourny for ALL wassers . With approx one in two entries being wassers (at the moment ) its gonna be extremely difficult to play as a team right thro the tourny. If we keep chip dumping to each other the other players with less teamates will possibly soon build up a sizeable chip lead if there good enough to realise whats happening . Last's spot on with the timing of when to play for yourself as well because with such a great top prize players need to know when team play is over and individual play starts. Not sure if I will play tonight, after all the tantrums of last night with an even higher % of wassers in tonight it will be extremely difficult not to upset someone . Having got through last night with out upsetting anyone and not being upset by anyone myself it may be wise to quit while I'm ahead . Good luck to all those who play and run the risk of the whingers lol may see you there

If you want to play as a Wass team member, show the team avatar.
Easy to upload or is it download?
Ask novi, I did.
