Mmmm nice post Miss beauty bum, interesting question.
This one gives me nightmares too. If you can catch a str8 with it generally its the nuts, but those cards only seem to come up when I fold the bloomin thing! In lots of other ways in can leave you chasing the hand from a weak position.
I tend to have a look at the flop if I can see it cheap, have been known to fold UTG. If it is suited, I might push the boat out a little more .... 3x blind (ish)? Depending how costly the blinds are.

Thanks guys!
I'm almost not afraid of it anymore.
I'd usually fold this handjust because I was so clueless as to where I really stood with it. I have a much better idea now how to play this hand. TJ will no longer haunt me... Hopefully.

I have been playing them more aggressively also, but they never bloomin hit for me!
I have decided that jayc is a naturally flukey git, who knows it and bets accordingly. I have to scrape by, doing reasonably well despite being the unluckiest f***er in the universe!!

In order for playing hands like JT aggressively to work, I think it's important to pick your spots. For instance, you want to raise against passive players who are likely tofold hands that are ahead, like Ax or small pockets. Also, the idea isn't necessarily to win a lot of hands with these cards. most of the time, you won't hit and you'll lose a little. The goal is to win more overall through a combination of small pots when no one calls your raise or your continuation bet, plus occasional big pots when you hit hard.
