Last night while at CDpoker i was faced with quite a dilema..

In one swift hand, i put out 4 players (Who dared call my AK suited) with ALL INS!

Now, i became the chipleader in a very tight game. (well, tight from then onwards) ..I tried playing the table bully but was soon getting nibbled on by daredevil raises from other chipleader aspirants.

I sat tight but soon after the bubble i realized the folly of my mistake. Others had amassed great heaps of chips while i was busy nursing my by-then paltry little stack.

My question is ... what would you have done?

Actually, I play more aggressive closer to the button , reason being is that the shorter stacks will be tightening up just trying to get into the money, and they really really don't want to get knocked out. So it's a really good time to throw your stack around and pick up blinds, and just be a big bully in general - everyone will hate you, which is a sign that you're playing great poker!

Hit the nail on the head. You either sit there and let other peopletake away your stack or you be the agressor and take other peoples chips.

Youdecide!

To go all in is just waste of cash in my opinion.. 3-6 times BB depending on blinds / their stacks. and what type of players they are....

I'd say at least 4 - you have to make sure you're making it a tough decision for your opponenet(s) to call, you've gotta be raising a good percentage of their chipstack to move them off a hand if they have a pretty decent had (talking mainly about the one player who limped in in your example, wouldn't be concerned with SB really)

If you try to play table bully at a table where the opponents play back at you frequently, you have two basic options. One is to take a stand. The other is to stop trying to bully. What you shouldn't do is continue raising and then folding when someone comes over the top. After you've done this a couple of times, they'll just be encouraged to continue bullying the would-be bully.

This is another 'it depends' situation.

If the table stays tight, then bully to steal the blinds.

But, as stated right after the bubble, if the play loosens up too much, then I would tighten up and let the smaller stacks knock each other out.

Reading all this explains a lot. I've been trying to stay tight up to the bubble, and I don't even want to play a hand like KK.

I think I'm too obsessed with getting that last prize spot than I am with winning.

It goes to show, as I've never finished above 3rd, and when I did, I was short stacked at the beginning of the final table.
