why do you play poker..for fun or gain money

i play for fun i enjoy the game

but im not gonna lie i like the money too

but i will play my hands even if that means i bubble

my hubby will fold good cards till after hes placed rather than bubble lol

he plays for the money 100%

I play for both. And the more I win the more fun I have. I stay at very low limits according to my bankroll, so I dont look for the big win. I prefer enjoying the game and build my bankroll constantly.

But winning is not everything. I can also enjoy a game without any winnings if it is a good game and I loose against a better hand (like KK again AA). I only loose the fun if I get too many bad beats (also I know thats poker)

With my record at the tables it has to be for the fun of it i won't turn down any financial gain but i love playing the game and learning to be a better player.

i like to help out where i can with games for others or charity, makes me feel better that im doing something for someone while having a great time and learning more about playing

i even went to liverpool for fun lol and to meet the people ive been involved with here for the last year and to meet the many friends ive made

the money came 2nd and i thoroughly enjoyed myself even after breaking a couple of ribs lol

I play poker for the rush I get when I win.I am from the US so I can`t get to the money anyways.So I guess the answer to your question is for the fun.I love to play Texas hold-em no limit.I am a poker junkie.I have only been playing for less than 2 yrs but I have played the game every time I get a minute to myself.I love to play and the $$$$$ has nothing to do with it

While I'm fortunate enough to be a winning player overall, I play more for the enjoyment than the money. It's not completely either / or though, since part of the enjoyment definitely comes from winning money to pay for things like a nice night out, a vacation, and at the moment, my next PC that I'm currently shopping for.
