Well,
I posted earlier this evening a negative post concerning the response by Wass to Dr Sals post on leaving post. But hey within half an hour it has been deleted.
It seems that disension in the ranks is not allowed.
Someone has been taking lessons from Mugabe in Zimbabwe.
Question is will this post survive the pen(or mouse) of the censors.

Maybe its time to stop all this negative posting and get back to being friendly on the forum.
We have during the past year had lots of "fights" posted on the forum and it don't get anywhere other than make new members stay off the forum. If we can't behave amongst our self we will not get Wass to grow.
Sometimes members do post things thatdon'tbelong on the forum but shouldbe sorted in private.

I am hoping that this has been posted as a joke, cause this is getting absolutely ridiculous now.
1) Question is will this post survive the pen(or mouse) of the censors
It is me that that 'sets the bar' on what is deleted and what stays - and I think that this is about the most liberal poker forum on the net. I delete spam and posts that are offensive.
2) It seems that disension in the ranks is not allowed
How many times have I asked members what they want on the site, how things should be done etc etc. And how many times do you think people agree with me? People having different views are what make a forum!
That being said - can you honestly tell me that you think some posts on a forum should not be deleted?! Or do you think we should just leave the forum and allow anything on it? There is a difference between being liberal and being stupid.
If I am wrong, tell me. This post wont be closed, cause I am getting sick and tired of people saying how this site is censorsored, and think it is about time it was addressed

I have been a member of this forum for over a year now as you all know, and at times I have wondered why some post have gotten to stay up.
Sometimes I think ppl just post to start a fight or to sture up problems. I have my share of silly posts on the forum and some of them has been deleted, but I don't make a big fuss about it......
We need some kind of censorship on the forum and the bar on this forum is high but there is a limit even for this forum on what is right or wrong to post.
Remember that we are over 12000 members on the forum and we have all differentviews on whats right or wrong. So we need to have some kind of Censorship.
I know that the admin and the mod's always pm the member in question and explain why they're post has been deleted.
We want new members to take the forum serious and stay here, fighting and bad languish don't help us to grow.
One more thing: I for one stand behind Doc when it comes to censorship... he has not once just deleted any post just because he don't like it. Post that are considered spam and post that are way out there are the once that are being deleted. If it had been up to me lots more post would have been deleted.

I would like to add my support to the Wass forum site. I think things are run really well. I agree there should be some overview of posts to ensure that offence is kept to a minimum.
One suggestion (that I am happy for you to ignore) is that players could be pmed to let them know if a post has been deleted and the reasons why. I thought I had posted something in The Rookies BRL thread but it isn't there but I don't know if this is deleted, technical problem or madness. Of course it may be that this would add too much workload to the forum.
Keep up the great work. I love Wass more and more the more I am here.

Hi
If I delete a post that needs to be explained, I do tend to PM the user and explain where they have gone wrong. It is not possible to do this in all cases, as it would take too long.
However, normally this is not needed to be done as we tend not to delete posts that would require an explaination as to why they have been deleted (Basically,if it's not obvious why it needs deleting, it probably doesn't need it).

Personally, i dont know what happened to your post either Zulu. Its possible there was no deletion of it as everyone has been asked to my knowledge and no one had touched it. Mite add up to just an unfortunate malfunction. Call it bad timing.
Everything has rules. With this amount of members there needs to be. And that includes censorship. I myself have been asked to delete my own posts. May not have understood why, but if it was deemed inappropriate then so be it, I deleted it and moved on. Now Sal has decided to leave, and as he is an adult, it is his choice. Admin has been more than fair on what has been posted on this forum. I for one see many things that really push the limits of crudeness, yet it still stays. You can only push too much before you are asked to tone it down, which has become the issue now. So i stand behind the decisions that are made, not because i am a mod, because believe me I have questioned many a thing, but because rules are rules and no matter where we are or go, we must abide by them.

As i see this post as rediculous we have to remember 1 very important thing
THE NAME OF THIS FORUM: WASS CASINO!!!!
I have been a member here since 2005 i have moved up in the ranks so to speak but to only help out the Admin with this wonderful forum. I feel us all here at Wass get the best games and freerolls and the best all around forum that any1 could ask for.
So to get to the point
If a post was chosen to be deleted there is a reason for it which i don't think need to be explained if it was an ADMINISTRATOR who did it as they are the founders of this forumwhich every 1 here benifits from.
Us Moderators here work hard at keeping the forum tidy and in order to maintain the best for u guys. i personally only delete a post if it truley needs to be or simply block it and bring it to the attention of the admin and have them look in to it.
the last time i looked this was a poker forum and a place to meet friends all over the world. which personally i have made a few. and discuss poker. go to the chat room and chat with all the lovley people hereat Wass.
So i don't think any admin has to explain to any1 if they feel its not appropriate for a certain posts.
Lets get back to the friendly Wass!
Wass on people
cheers spyder33

I have also been asked if I deleted this post and it sure wasn't me but it has highlighted a divide that I feel is growing on this forum.
Moderators and Admin are getting more and more abuse from members here and as someone with skin like an elephant (and a face like one!) I can handle it. I don't ask for it to be deleted and don't care if the members in question are reprimanded or not. In fact it is more the culture of this forum for posts to be closed rather than deleted.
But everybody has their limits and it wouldn't surprise me at all if moderators started throwing the towel in soon.
We work hard for you all for no personal gain and try at all times to represent the membership to the best of our abilities, this may not always be for the good of the few but it's often for the good of the majority.
This is the best Poker forum on the net but it wouldn't be without Admin and the Moderators, so please give us a little more support.

Since I believe finger pointing is going to start happening, I will go on the record right now as saying I did not delete zulu's post. I never even got a chance to read it.
The only solution I see right now is for zulu to post his original post again.
