To be honest Powermax, I am surprised you haven't posted here sooner.
There seems to be a few members who think that Wass sould now be closed to new members...or no new members can be accepted into the site until they have done 200+ posts.
The idea behind Wass is that it is a place for members - new and old - to have fun and enjoy, and the vast majority of people do. We welcome new members as they keep the forum going - do you think we would have half the tournaments we have if we didn't have new members joining daily?
You're complain about people moaning and not having fun, but the thing is, most people don't. The thing with Sal has, as far as I am concerned, sorted now, and there is no issue. Sal is welcome on the forum whenever he wants, and thats the end of it. However, two days later you decide to bring it up? If thats not trying to stir things up, then I don't know what is. If you have a problem, then PM me or any of the admin to sort it out.

Go and look through the forum, and see how many threads criticise the forum, and how many have been posted on by myself and resolved? Similarly, if you think that someone is a donkey and post it, does it get closed? Unless it turns into a ridiculous argument, no, it doesn't.
Next,

We have more games for our members than ever - go and look, and see if you can find ANY forum that offers the members more! And not only that, but we keep adding more and more games. PLUS, I am currently organising a series of games for members that have higher amounts of posts. These will be announced by the end of this week, and have been in the pipeline for quite a while. It would be nice to have a weekly games with added prizes for all of our member groups, but how realistic do you actually think that is? The forum is still growing, and needs to be a lot busier before it can afford tournaments like that on top of everything else. Don't forget that we add funds to almost every game that is played on Wass.

Does something happen once you have been here for a year or more that makes the Wass games less fun? Or does the influx of new members and the amount of people posting put you off?
At the end of the day, we try our damnedest to please everyone, but I know that thats not going to be possible. We have made Wass into the great place that it is, and the fact that we have new members joining and posting everyday is tribute to that. If you don't like them, or don't want to talk to them because they are 'newbs', then don't - but don't expect Wass to follow suit and ignore new members too.
If you think that this is a harsh post, then that's fine, but I think that there needs to be line drawn under this attitude that all newbies are scum and that Wass isn't any good. I take it personally, and I think that it's only fair that I reply as I see it.
Please note Powermax that whilst this is a response to what you have posted, I am not suggesting that you should leave the forum. You have posted here obviously expecting a resopnse, and you have got it...and an honest one at that. If you want to carry on this discussion, then please do so so that everyone can see - or, if you prefer PM me. As one of the longest serving members on the forum, then obviously you are an important part of Wass, and would be missed - that goes without saying.
There is currently a hell of a lot going off behind the scenes at Wass - changes that will start to be seen from next week. These changes are not simple to make with such a large forum and site, and I am hoping that once it all goes on you will appreciate the amount of time and effort that goes into Wass to keep it running, and, in my eyes at least, keep it the number 1 Poker and Casino forum on the net. Just look at all the great things we have;
1) A collection of a huge variety of great people that all contribute to the forum just by being here, each in their own different way
2) Daily tournaments for all of our members, the majority with added prizes
3) A selection of loads of different leagues and games organised by members for each other to take part in - what does that tell you about the calibre of the people we have on the forum, because to my mind thats absolutely fantastic!
4) Live events - Sal, even though there is the recent issues, we do have you to thank for these, and is another great example of how we use Wass to make a better experience for all of our members.
5) The mods/admin team. We all work hard for Wass, keeping it on track and stopping it falling apart with spam etc. Most people give up their own free time to do what is a hard, and quite often thankless job, I have both my utmost respect and gratitude.
6) Chat room - regardless, this is always a fun place. even if its slightly scarey - even to me
7) The forum itself. When you actually think about it, it is an amazing place. It has brought so many people together, and created some great friendships, as well as some fantastic memories, and I know that I am not the only person that feels like that. There are a lot of people here that although I have never met, I would count as friends, and I have never, ever felt like that on any other site, and I feel priveledged to be a part of it
8) We are constantly working to improve and listen to our members. No where else do you have the chance to vote on the name of the site, decide what tournaments you want and request features that normally do turn up! Just wait until you see the new wass....
I am genuinely looking forward to peoples opinions on this - but keep it civil - or PM me I can handle it lol:P
