There is a few things that I would like to say...

1) Corey has done an absolutely brilliant job organising and getting people to play in these games, which I think him wholeheartedly for

2) At the moment I am unable to send out newsletters for either WassOnline or wassPoker due to a problem with our mailserver, which makes it extremely difficult to remind people of these games, and keep them up to date

3) Non-the less, it is very disappointing to see so many people here on the site who don't participate, but I do think that a big part of that is to do with the fact we can't tell people about things right now

4) I don't think that WassOnline should drop out, as people do still want to play. However, I do think that moving to a new site every month is a pain, though of course understandable why they do. If we can have on OFC event on WassPoker that would be awesome, but I am not sure how feasable that is...

5) As for WassOnline / WassPoker hosting its own games and leagues - I know I have been saying this for a while now, but this will be live by next month. Launching WassPoker has obviously delayed this, but now we have started to settle down I am finishing off the leagues, and have a few extra touches too of course Lets just say it will make whatever you want possible (No dirty jokes please)

Cheers
Doc

I hope it isn't look upon as I don't appreciate the efforts because I do. I am as competitive as is gets and I'll pretty much jump into anything if it looks like its going to be fun. I even compete with my 2 year old playing the Dora Memory Game, getting up the stairs quickest ~ in our house we love all sorts of competition.

I just can't keep downloading new sites. I use this pc for both work and personal stuff and because it's provided to me by my employer I have show a little reserve when it comes to filling it up with non work related programs. This morning I removed 4 sites 2 of which had a small amount of money on them. In addition to filling up the pc (and those sites multiply like rabbits when a person gets carried away) ~ I find myself having scheduling conflicts. I'll see a game on the new site I want to play and sure enough it is scheduled during one of the regular games I try to take part in. Then before you know it I find myself in my living room or the man cave playing on multiple pc's ~ and my kids searching the net on another computer to find all Gambler's Anonymous meeting schedules in the tri-state area.

Because my house is in the middle of restoration due to a flood ~ my time spent online playing poker is borderline ridiculous. I have been letting the baby stay at my brother's & Grandmother's on the weekends so she can play in a house that isn't filled with mold & mildew retardant chemical agents. All of my floors, ceilings and walls are cut open and she loves to chase the cats ~ been very lucky I haven't lost a kid in the walls to date ~ touch wood. It could still happen

I will gladly participate in everything I can here. We have the greatest collection of poker players to be found. While the wins are something great ~ just sitting at the tables with the folks from here regardless where a person places makes for a the best times and a solid game of poker. So if its something hosted through Wass and there isn't a timing conflict ~ count me in. Please understand though if it involves the downloading of a new site ~ I am unable to do that but will root and cheer Wasser's who are able to play with everything I have.

I vote yes! To not promote them or play them is up to the people in the forum the more choices the better.

Question

Ummm excuse me for having a blonde moment here, but I just read this thread 3 times to see wtf OFC stands for, and unless the copious amounts of Strongbow I've drank tonight has something to do with it, I'm still none the wiser

Mat

* Edit: Online Forum Challenge!!! (In my defence I got here via the New Posts tab) my bad

I think YES keep on going with the OFC-- I am looking forward to June's because I love playing at FullTilt (even though I never win on there, lol!) , so I will definately play that one!
Even though we don't have many people joining, I usually run into a Wasser or two at the tables.
As far as getting more participants, maybe having something like a star under their forum name/avatar, representing each OFC they played for Wass - kind of like the "live events attended" thing.. That wouldn't cost the forum anything.... Or maybe asking each BRL team captain to round up 3 members of their team to represent Wass in the OFC, and have some kind of extra "Wasser brl" competition for points, because you know how competitive we all are around here! , and we love to play for our teams..
Good luck Corey, I know it's hard to keep on drumming up interest every month... Maybe they should just do it quaterly or something!

I am a poker junky so I will play the OFC events, but only the freeroll. Some of us with kids are no made of money to deposit everywhere. I do hav over 12 poker sites on my computer. I do delete them if I have not played there in a long time and will than reload them if I find an event that I would like to play.

If you don't promote it, I am fine with that too. Like I said, I will play anyway just cause I love to play poker.
